For my take on writing their story and the playlist as well, read below the line: 

The funny thing is that I saved Naomi x Lace for last because I knew it was going to be a sickly-sweet story. I was using it as my reward after writing the angst and emotional depth in both Cass x Olivia and Krem x Veronica. So, I hope when people read their story they see just how joyous it is even in the sad parts (which are, in fact, quite sad, so you’re warned).

Even though it may seem very easygoing, their story is probably the most meaningful of all of three considering what Naomi struggles with. Being prone to demonic possession, when you’ve otherwise done nothing in your life to deserve such a cruelty, makes Naomi very insecure with life. Does she try to make friends? Have new experiences? Let love in again? She struggles with her existential meaning, and holds the things and people she trusts close to her heart.

But, Harding represents a grey area in her boundaries: someone she knew, but is not exactly familiar. Someone who reminds her of a good era in her life, but someone who proposes to change everything. It’s both a coming home and a departure from what she knows. And, of course, Harding deals with the consequences of hiding her feelings and not going for what she wants. It’s a process of proper timing for them both, and learning when to take chances. 

I hope this playlist speaks true to their story, because it’s helped inspire me to write them! Thank you for tagging along on this little adventure.
