Guys... I'll be so honest, I think I have a hyperfixation on a gunshow fanfiction-

I'M TOO EXCITED TO KEEP THESE CONCEPTS SECRET, I NEED TO SHARE THEM NOW-

So I tried not to give away major spoilers in the illustrations, but some of the notes miiiight have a few? Idk, so keep that in mind if you do read my messy handwriting-

ALSO HEADS UP! There is a tiny bit of suggestive imagery if you squint (nothing explicit though, but still be aware :) ).

Idk how long it will take me to fully render these, so here is this A5 sketchbook page for now! (And close-ups bellow)

The main title:

Ooooo typography! My college degree is coming in handy for this one-

CRT's = Puzzles smile colours + TV screen filter on top. In the Puzzlevision font (Magneto)

And = Rounded font and coloured/shaded redish pink like Toomp!

Magazines = I haven't quite figured out the exact font style yet, but I'm basically styling it similar to Wpnz shirt merch. The colouring of course being Wpnz colour palette, I might go for a shiny metal rendering look? I was gonna try the comic book dots, but it might just look like I ripped off the merch, or be too crowded? I've been trying to shape the letters like his character features/personality, man it's haaaaard lmao.

Aaaaand a black boarder for a nice clean finish!

CRT's and Magazines (the OG first fic):

So I haven't decided which design to use yet (except I scrapped the last one where they look through the door hole.)

It also doesn't help that I came up with another idea JUST NOW as I'm posting lmao 💀

As for Wpnz holding Puzzles core, I wanna make one of the wires wrap around his pinky (gotta referencing the red string thingy heheheh, and the art Kunaigirl did!)

I wanna show the core right off the bat since it's very important for this installment and a staple for this series as a whole!

The bottom middle concept is based on this animation by @/mxshu.strange called HATE LOVE (go watch it afterwards, it's absolute cinema!)

Evening hours:

Oh boy, here we go-

What have I done-

Just some good old hand holding :) (I don't need to explain myself lmao-)

The background is a comfy bed with pillows :D, gotta be comfy to hold hands- (PPFFFTTT SORRY, the jokes are gonna get worse 💀)

"The gloves stay on while 'hand holding'-" /j aka I was worried you wouldn't recognise it's Puzzles, the robot hands kinda blended together ngl, so I left the gloves on :D

The visit:

(Ignore the times on the ticket, I think it's wrong? I wrote it from memory lmao 😭. CRAP I GOT THE ROOM NUMBER WRONG, IT'S 908! well shit, sorry guys I'm a fake fan /j /silly)

The middle one is the final concept I liked: A bus ticket (with the title displayed), the note with location details, and a landline phone set on top of a table. The landline phone is a reference the first chapter... that phone call man...

The other scrapped versions are: The note and bus ticket crumbled up in the bin/trash can (sorry I'm british-), and Puzzles simply holding the bus ticket. I scrapped both because there wasn't enough happening to fill up the rest of the empty space.

3:30am:

I love this idea for the layout but I really need to learn perspective better to pull this one off.

The title is displayed on a digital clock (again, I don't remember if they own a clock since they have internal clocks...BUT THE TITLE IDEA WAS TOO GOOD I HAD TO KEEP IT-)

Sssshhh, Puzzles is sleeping 🤫. But the other side of the bed is empty :(

The only lighting is the light from the bathroom where Wpnz is stumbling into, visibly shaking poor guy :(

The other corner had a big empty space so I added a window...but then realised the POTENTIAL! So I drew up a version where the glass reflects what Wpnz saw in his nightmare 👀 Oooooooooooo.

The Diesel Club:

Ignore the "strobe lights" note, I'll be making the saturation more like a pastel shade + lower opacity to be mindful of the author :) (maybe I'll post a seperate saturatied version under read more? Idk, depends how it turns out).

I basically thought "hmm what do clubs have?...lotsa colourful lights n' stuff!"

The colours for the silhouettes are based on Puzzles face, each one is like a frame of movement (like animation frames!)

Idk what colour to make the background ngl, I was gonna just do something standard for inside the club. But then I had an idea...rain perhaps? 👀 ...purple rain- (that song is in my rn brain lmao)

I nearly forgot to say THE BOYS ARE DANCING WOOOOOO!!

Late Night Delights:

Another one 😌

THIS WAS TOO FUNNY NOT TO MAKE, I originally wasn't gonna draw the bonus fics, but then I had this idea 😭

Just a broken yellow triangle on the ground...if ya know ya know LMAO ;)

The bottom drawing is a scrapped version where it...ehem...extends the shot...don't worry about iiiiiit- (my hand slipped 💀. I'm so embarrassed sorry, I know it's just a hand but still 😭)

Seriously, I can't stop laughing at this one and all I did was draw a triangle 💀

Crashing Static:

Oh THIS OOOONE, gotta be one of my favourites!

Their silhouette positions are based on what happens in the fic. They were originally just going to be seperated by lightning vertically in the middle, but then I drew the lightning bold sideways and thought "HOLD UP! WAIT A MINUTE, THIS IS PEAK!"

On Wpnz side he's falling forward, there is gonna be a firey background (maybe I'll add stairs bellow him?). One of his legs has been detached.

On Puzzles side he's falling backwards, his background is a dark stormy sky with purples and blues. His arm has been blown off!

Both of them are reaching out desperately towards eachother only to be seperated by the lightning/title of the fanfic. They also both have bright warning screens in their eyes/screen.

Their cores are both glowing...but one is a little damaged. Uh oh.

Tables and Mirrors:

(Edit, I made another concept for it making the mirror cracked, i wanted to add more scenes, fill up the space, all that good stuff)

Congratulations Lily, you are the first character besides the gunshow duo to appear on a cover! Good job queen! (Sorry Toomp buddy and Diesel, I still love you both 😭)

Anyways, above the cover is the "Tables" portion of the fic, where Wpnz and Lily are talking and come to a realisation 👁 Oooooo I'm not giving spoilers for this peak storyline!

The "Mirrors" portion of the cover shows Puzzles seeing himself in the mirror for the first time since the accident... aww man... I don't think he's doing alright :( (This part of the drawing is kinda like pre-chapter 1?)

I was gonna included Wpnz in the mirror scene (but I couldn't get it to look right so I scrapped it 💀, Sorry Puzzles no comfort for you- /j. Plus Wpnz was already in the tables section sooooo-)

The colours are probably gonna be darker, like gloomy sort of dark? I'm brain storming as I type can you tell?-

But now I'm thinking... most of the fic is Wpnz and Puzzles being the sweetest mother fuckers I've ever seen, and I wanna include that somehow?!? I just can't thiiiiink.

I almost forgot! The landline in the background is a reference to the final chapter where Toomp answers the phone 👁

Files and fear:

THIS FIC WAS LIKE READING A POLICE REPORT, so I'm reflecting that in this cover ;)

We have Wpnz (who is shaking again :( ) holding a classified file which displays the title.

Simple and to the point but still interesting visually and matches the fanfic.

I might add a round dark fade boarder to look like Wpnz eye sight is getting a little blury, he's having a realistic panic attack guys, no seriously, this poor guy can't catch a break :( (...Ok, I admit I LOVE the drama-)

Before the mission:

They've upgraded from "hand holding" to silhouettes woooooah! I'll probably give them 2 different colours to separate who is who

The two are in their own little world SURROUNDED by dark scribbles to symbolise their shared dread for what's soon to come in the next few days. However they're trying not to dwell on it, and for one night relax, focusing only on eachother :) (This one is pretty damn poetic... and then it gets WOAH MAMMA MIA!)

The title is on top of the scribbles in white (a rough font).

All I'm gonna say is THE DIRECTOR WAS DIABOLICAL FOR BRINGING THIS UP AGAINST THEM- (again, I love drama but holy shiiiiiiit)

Rust and Rot:

Ngl I saved my favourite design till last-

I drew this one first actually and knew exactly how I wanted it to look!

The title is going to look like a splatter of Oil and Blood to match the words in the title Rust (black oil), and Rot (red blood), contrasting the organic and machine characters 👀

Puzzles and Wpnz holding hands is referencing chapter 10, where the couple reach their hands out towards each other 🥺 (frickin beautiful scene man, THE SONG THAT PLAYED DURING IT TOO, OUGH MY HEART 💖💖💖, All the songs in this fic are in my personal gunshow playlist btw, I love them all! Good music taste!)

There is some blood mixed with oil around Wpnz to reference the absolute massacre he indulged in, especially how he killed someone in particular (I know I said I'd be saying spoilers, BUT DUDE, I STILL DONT WANNA GIVE AWAY ANY PEAK MOMENTS JUST IN CASE!)

A few other small details like Puzzles TV dial (which fell off), and a bullet since Wpnz had them taken away from him.

...Phew that took forever to write-

This fanfic series has inspired me A LOT, you have no idea! I've written down lots of other cool ideas I can't wait to draw in the future too, not just book covers! >:3

Out of all of these covers, I defo wanna make Rust and Rot, and Crashing Static the most! But maaaaan I love them aaaalllll!!

Okay okay I can vividly imagine Malevolent played as a video game but the idea isn't fully formed so I just have loose concepts and they may or may not be organized.

Let it be known that there WILL be spoilers all the way up to Episode 43, where I just left off. There will be various references to Various Events through every season.

Okay so art style: not completely sure, maybe pixelated? Not as much as Deltarune, but maybe more like Street Fighter.

Gameplay: this would work very simply. You play through the episodes as levels. There probably won't be as much dialogue since it would likely make the game slower. Obviously, plot important dialogue will remain. It might end up more of a fighting type of game since most of what they do is walk around exploring stuff. I haven't entirely thought this through, as previously mentioned. The story will progress like it does in the podcast, and characters will meet their usual fates. However! You can unlock practically all side characters as Companions later!

Battles: most Seasons will end with a Boss Battle or Cutscene and there is no in between.

Inventory: exactly what it sounds like. Everything will be in Key Items until you use them, or until you finally get the option to get rid of all the bullshit you've been carrying around. Maybe you can have John's Observations of what it is with details added as they learn what it does.

Companions: Playing as Arthur, your default companion will always be John (unless you're in the third Section of the game, at which point it will be Yellow). Companions are exactly what they sound like: characters that travel with Arthur. Everyone will respond to threats, it's just a matter of how they go about this. As you progress, they will gain more abilities. Mostly John, but you get it. Companions will act of their own accord.

John's abilities: Swipe, Punch, Kick, Snap out of it (jolts Arthur out of Mental Status Effects), Manifest (S4). Manifest is powerful, but it drains Arthur's HP.

Vivian (unlocked after S2): Guard, Stab, Blind, Smashdown (if I'm being funny, she'll use Smashdown at every available interval if Arthur is in danger). She has the ability to Fly and can do so with Arthur. Don't know where they'd use this.

Kellin: I don't know what he would do. Shoot, Consult Samantha (I don't think he'd Attack with Samantha, but it's certainly something to consider).

Other Companions:

Yellow

Oscar

Daniel

Noel

Butcher

Larson

Mr. Scratch (????)

Even if you have another Companion selected, John will always be active.

Kayne (I REALLY don't know what he would do, but it would be Scary)

Yorick (Unlocked in S5): He'd remain as the Prince's Head for most of the time. If he bites someone, he can possess them.

Save/Loading Screens: Whenever you end off a level and save, or whenever Arthur finally sleeps, you'll get a loading screen pertaining to whichever Season you're in. Whenever you come across an Animal Friend (the flying salamander, Lily, Lorick from S2, Alexander from S5), they will show up in the loading screen! For S1, he's probably asleep in a car.

S2: A tent, or when he finds it: Frank Underhill's apartment.

S3: The Red Right Hand, Larson's Estate, car

S4: Marie's apartment, Daniel's house

S5: Windmill.

Sanity: Most of the time, Arthur will have a Sanity meter! If it gets too low, he'll lose it and you Game Over. John or other Companions can raise his Sanity by talking to him.

Specific Scenes (I don't have many in mind)

The King's Madness: Probably where you're playing as John? You have to try snapping Arthur out of it. If not, then you play through whatever insane shit Arthur's experiencing.

Evading Butcher: QTE, button mashing if Arthur's struggling to get himself up/over something.

Banishing Scratch: this would probably be a Quick Time Event? You Cannot make any mistakes or you're probably dead.

Miscellaneous

I think there should be an Enemy List. Who the largest threat to Arthur is.

There should also be a Relationship Chart to keep track of where Arthur currently stands with the various people around him. His relationship to Daniel will progress from Tense to Understanding to Father!

Currently making a KOG oc for fun and shes Currently in the ROUGH ROUGH stages right now but I decided I'd share it anyways plus some info about her and her inspirations and references:

Basically shes supposed to be an old scrapped and forgotten animatronic (a reference to how lots of big studios often scrap interesting show/movie concepts, mainly because theyre greedy and too afraid to take risks and do anything new)

She (in the story) was originally going to be guineveres personal knight, kinda acting like a second mascot but after she was made she was left and scrapped and this is because: "a woman with pants?? preposterous!!!" And also because she was deemed a little bit to "friendly" towards guinevere.

The whole scrapped thing is also inspired by how a lot of props and animatronics are often just abandoned, forgotten about, or just lost

And the whole "to friendly towards guinevere" is a bit of a poke at how owl house basically got canned by Disney for its LGBTQ representation

And finally, shes also inspired by Jupiter and thats because since guinevere is space inspired i figured i should've stayed on theme, why I chose Jupiter in particular is because Jupiter basically protects our planet from asteroids and general space debris so it seemed kinda fitting

(I also inverted guineveres colors and used some of them in her coloring)

Needless to say I'll probably make more art of her but her design may change somewhat in the future since this is a rough concept sketch
