THE O.C. 1.01, “Pilot”
THE O.C. (2003-2007) EUPHORIA (2019-2026)
If I had a nickel for everytime a coming-of-age teen drama had a heroic misunderstood boy with abandonment issues who falls for a misunderstood troubled girl, a sarcastic and loyal bff who acts like a brother to the main guy, a misinterpretted popular girl that hides her sadness and falls for the sarcastic nerd more & more over time, a homoerotic rival to the heroic abandoned main who also tries to steal his girl, and an anxiously talkative new girl who hides her loneliness while also falling for the heroic main character, I'd have 2 nickels... which isn't a lot but it's weird that all of that happened exactly twice
sometimes when i don't get why a ship is very popular i try to reimagine them as sapphic and then i start to get it
you Know the fixation is bad when you start making playlists for them
WHO ARE YOU? / WHOEVER YOU WANT ME TO BE
ryan atwood and marissa cooper from the o.c. (2003-2007) / “what was that” by lorde
society if certain oc fans realized ryan was just as fucked up and traumatized as marissa and willingly chose to get involved with her over and over again instead of reducing their relationship to marissa "ruining his life"
