Now I’ve reached s4e06 and I found it heartbreakingly beautiful. Jean and Lucien working together again to solve the case, Mr Pig and Lucien murdering the dishes only because Jean was out and he needed her for his “investigations” were all precious gems 😄 I love the way he needs her and the way she always puts other people’s need and well-being (above all Mei Lin’s in this case) before her own. She even tells Lucien he doesn’t have to change the topic of the conversation... I mean not many women would do that!Jean...you precious human being ❤️ . She tells him about the article and even though one can clearly see how hurt she is, how much she is suffering she still urges him to go to his wife and to explain to her. When then she sits down and asks him to talk to her about the case and he kisses her on her forehead...well that broke my heart because it was so natural to him to do just that in that moment ma did course the second times he tries to touch her after having solved the case she begs him not to touch her and she’s so damn right “...and it’s not fair on me” ...for just this once she is thinking about herself, too and thank god for that!
