Thinking about how Sam wanted Celaena and Lysandra to be friends, because he saw more to Lys (just as he did with Celaena).

And how proud he would be to know Aelin and Lysandra not only became friends, not only avenged him together, but became the more he saw. And are free now. Truly free. Happy even. Known & embraced in their truest selves as he knew them to be. And so far away from Rifthold, and the girls they were forced to be; they finally made it out. All out…

On the other hand... Why do people feel the need to say that Celaena never really loved Sam ? Like... Is this canon ? Is it said in the text ? Aelin says it herself ?! As... ?! You may prefer Rowan ! Rowaelin is awesome ! But why try to make the relationship with Sam less important ? As if she was worth nothing to Celaena ? He literally taught her how to love. He was her first love, whether you like it or not. Besides, he's dead ! Why do you feel so threatened ?! It's ridiculous. Even if they are probably doing this because they know that Sam had stayed wanted, the events that would have followed would not have been the same at all. Sam's death was decisive for the events. It makes me laugh that people try to pretend they would have ended up being friends like Celaena / Aelin & Dorian. What a joke...

I even saw someone say that Celaena admitted that she would have taken Chaol on Sam ?!

Where does this come from ?! So, it's been a long time since I read them, but at no point do I remember Celaena / Aelin even suggesting such a thing !

Am I right, or am I having the biggest memory lapse ever ? On the contrary, I remember her saying she loved Sam even more than Chaol. So completely the opposite.

Lets be honest, if sam hadn't died, celaena never would have broken. She never would have gone with maeve. She would have lived. Lived. 

In the end, everything she did was for him. So that assassins and thieves and dreamers could fall in love and live together for eternity without fear or threat. In a better world.
