It’s so horribly unfair that hundreds of millions of strays around the world will never know real love. But I will keep fighting for them here in Crete, where so many cats face terrible lives on the street - battling traffic, rampant disease, hunger and abuse. I hope that one day governments and people around the world take much more interest in helping stray cats - so much more needs to be done: neutering, feeding programmes, general awareness and education, temporary shelters and free vet care

In EVERY effort to help our communities that are hurting and of course our homeless dogs and cats, I am making an offer that I hope you cannot refuse!

I know that things are really tight this year, I know many people are worried and may be losing their jobs. Groceries are going higher by the week along with every other expense we shoulder.

So, in every spirit of our economic times, a black out to the corporate prostitutes, and a break for so many hurting in our country, ALONG WITH A WAY TO HELP HOMELESS ANIMALS, I am offering alternatives.

I will now either offer a file with my art so that you can get your own print (let me know what size you will be ordering when you email me). Or an 8x10 print. Your choice, my offer to you and the homeless animals.

What’s the difference? The 8x10 print (that I donate/pay for myself) will require a minimum $50 donation to a dog/cat rescue that you will donate directly to.

OR you get the print yourself, I email you the file once I complete the art and then if you like it, you donate WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD (reasonable amount please) to a rescue link I send to you! This will benefit everyone (I can certainly donate the time) and will even be a chance for our friends outside the US to participate.

I am a professional artist who has been selling my art for well over 45 years, unfortunately I have pretty bad arthritis in my hands and can only now draw with a mouse. FORTUNATELY, I am also retired and can dedicate my time to helping homeless animals and can donate my time.

I can do a custom print or file for you if you send me one—or more, of your favorite photo(s). via email at [email protected]. I can combine photos in the same print, just let me know if you’d like that. Or do multiple watercolors/pencil sketches. After I make the art, I will then email you a ‘proof’ and if you really like what I’ve done, let me know along with the address where you would like the print mailed (if a print). I will respond with a link to a great dog/cat rescue where you can make the donation DIRECTLY! If you want to donate more, that’s great too! Then you send me a receipt/screen shot of your donation, and I order the print and send you the receipt for that order. Or send you the high-resolution file for you to get your own print.

I can do watercolors/sketches of people as well, email or PM me here with any questions/details. AGAIN, every cent will be donated directly to you to a dog/cat rescue that I choose. You can even dedicate your donation to a loved one. Let me know...

I don’t normally make posts like this but I wanna spread awareness to this topic

Cats in China are being brutally tortured and killed maliciously by various groups of people around - young people, ones who should know better.

They adopt cats and then murder them, often putting them through hell beforehand. Doing things such as chopping off all their limbs and hanging them up as “cat bugs”, skinning them alive, putting them in blenders, and many, many other cruel things.

It’s due to the lack of animal protection rights in China is why these people can get away with these things so easily.

They use live footage of cats eating from local feeders in order to capture them, and they’ve already gotten over millions of innocent felines - one of which was a kitten known as Mr. Wink, who was found frozen solid after one of them had drowned him.

These people also go about live streaming footage of themselves torturing and killing kitties that’ve done NOTHING WRONG for views, money and fun. And they gain more and more followers and views everyday.

This shit is not okay at all. They are still out there targeting these creatures, and even had set up a bounty to both find and kill Mr. Fresh (orange cat shown from a live feeder famous for his “side eye”), the money ranging from about $500-600.

Although Mr. Fresh is thankfully safe and in the care of a vet/new guardian. However, there are still many other animals, not just cats themselves, being tortured in China.

I highly recommend visiting and following @feline_guardians on Instagram and to sign their petition for animals to gain more rights in China.

Bowie. He came into our lives after the death of poor Dexter, our beloved cat of 15 years. I guess we couldn’t live without a cat in our lives. Bowie was living on the streets of Hartford CT until a shelter took him in after which, much later, we saved him. Happily, he’s been with us now for about 4 months and he seems very content. As are we.

I started a gofundme to help my cat but his situations gotten much worse than originally.
