This bacon cheddar apple baked frittata is a savory and slightly sweet breakfast or brunch dish. It has a fluffy egg base and tastes like crispy bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, and soft sauted apples. It's simple to make and great for a cozy breakfast in the morning.
Ingredients: 6 large eggs. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled. 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced. 1/4 cup milk. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 tablespoon butter or cooking oil.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat the butter or cooking oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the diced apple and saut for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften. Spread the cooked apples evenly across the skillet. Pour the egg mixture over the apples in the skillet. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon evenly over the eggs. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the frittata is set and slightly golden on top. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with additional shredded cheese and bacon bits if desired. Ingredients: 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and chopped. 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped. 1/2 cup mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 8 slices bread of your choice. Lettuce leaves optional, for serving.
Instructions: To make the dip, put chopped bacon, hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Mix everything together well until it's all mixed together. If you want, you can toast the bread slices. Spread the egg salad mixture out evenly on 4 pieces of bread. If you want to make sandwiches, put lettuce leaves on top of each one and then cover with the rest of the bread slices. This breakfast version of the classic grilled cheese sandwich is delicious. It has toasted buttery bread, crispy bacon, and fried eggs between slices of sharp cheddar cheese.
Ingredients: 4 slices of bread. 4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese. 4 slices of cooked bacon. 4 eggs. 2 tablespoons butter.
Instructions: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until desired doneness, flipping once. Remove the eggs from the skillet and set aside. Butter one side of each bread slice. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet. Layer each slice with a slice of cheese, cooked bacon, and a fried egg. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook until the other side is golden brown and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make another sandwich. Slice each sandwich diagonally and serve hot.
