She's playing nice today, she's in charge of something important, and the last thing she needs is a RUMOR that the big bad vampire was playing favourites, and being biased against people she's not exactly besties with. She certainly respects Sarah more than to mess with other employees like that.

Fighting the urge to fidget uncomfortably as someone’s gaze fell upon him again, Pogue slouched lower in his seat and took a sip of his chocolate shake. Ever since the warlock had walked into the diner earlier, he’d been unable to shake the feeling that someone was watching him. But subtly glancing around the restaurant had failed to provide any clues whenever he’d tried, and so Pogue busied himself with his meal and decided to put it out of his mind until a shadow fell over his table that was decidedly not his waitress’s. “Can I…help you?”

"So I put birdfeeders out in the garden a couple days ago." They're a little dinky, put together by a man who's more attuned to text describing fictional attacks on a square of overpriced cardboard than any instruction manual, but they're passable. Sort of cute in their slightly wonky presentation. "Um... Tell me why it's attracted a ghost, though?"
