And Xie Lian thinks, this will not happen again.

Part 2: “Wei Ying,” says Lan Wangji hoarsely. He appears to struggle for words for a few moments, then simply lets his eyes slip shut. His face tilts unconsciously into his touch. “Wei Ying,” he says again. His voice around those two syllables might be the sweetest sound Wei Wuxian has ever heard.
“Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian murmurs back. “Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan.” It feels like a prayer.

This is a soft (™) pre-Qiongqi Path canon divergent fic featuring both Hualian and Wangxian whereas the first part of the series is Xie Lian’s POV on WWX and Wangxian.
One day, Xie Lian finds WWX praying to him in the Puji Shrine. He decides to give him a visit and then help him because, in XL's words, he sees himself in WWX. There are some beautiful parallels drawn between the two of them. When XL introduces Hua Cheng as his husband, WWX silently and fiercely yearns for what Hualian have. LWJ comes to WWX's rescue and meets Hualian.
The second part of the series is almost exclusively Wangxian. They light blessings lanterns for Hualian for helping them find their way to back to each other again. HC joins LWJ while XL and WWX share mooncakes and have a friendly talk about feelings 💖
