🦇 This BOOK. If you love speculative horror with a healthy dose of the uncanny, you’re going to want to pick this one up. I was utterly entranced by it, especially because of the interlocking short story format. I loved that each story highlighted a bit more of the character of the writer, and that we got to know her through the short stories she wrote for the devil. Absolutely adored the devil’s characterization here, too. 5/5 ⭐️

Inspired by the SCP Foundation, Backrooms, and Pokemon, it centres around an enigmatic organization called F.A.L.S.E. (Foundational Anomalous Laboratories And Scientific Exploration) as they operate on a hellish underground dimension called Realities, where they use monstrous entities called Mephistophelians as a useful tool to navigate through Realities.

Blakk (Cavum nigrum)

Name: Blakk | Classification: Biospheres | Tamability: Gamma | Maintenance: Medium

Description: Black Hole or Blakk (Cavum nigrum) is a circular black Mephistophelians species belonging to the living Euclidean group of Biospheres. Identified with an overall black colour around its body, Black Holes are most identified with a singular blank eye when opened.

Despite its name, the body was solid with a smooth yet cold texture, similar to the marble.

When dormant, Black Holes will stay motionless on one spot with eyes closed. When active, their eye remains open since it contains special molecules that keep them moisturised while also staying in there.

Black Holes have a telekinesis ability, mainly to move objects with their eye. They can only lift one object at a time and the density of said object depends on how well each Black Holes can lift.

Origin: Black Holes are first discovered in terraces at the Spore Jungle in the Empty Reality.
