These delicious nuts, glazed with maple syrup and seasoned lightly with warming hints of cinnamon and cayenne. They take just a few minutes to prepare and can be easily made ahead of the holidays. Crunchy, sweet, savoury and with just the right hint of spice, they are so versatile for the holidays. Serve them as an appetiser, use them on a cheeseboard, sprinkle into salads or use as an ice-cream topping! . . . . . 🍁 Maple Spiced Nuts 5 cups mixed nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews) 2 tablespoons maple syrup 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted ½ teaspoons sea salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 🔥 Preheat oven to 160 D/ 325 F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with baking paper 🥜 Pour the nuts into a mixing bowl and set aside. 🧂 In a small bowl, combine the seasoning. 🥄 Pour the mixture over the nuts. Stir well and spread the mixture in a single layer across the pan 🔥 Bake, stirring after the first 10 minutes and then every 5 minutes thereafter, until almost no maple syrup remains on the baking paper and the nuts are deeply golden (total about 22-25 minutes). 😎 Leave to cool then transfer to an airtight container.
