🏋️♀️Simple Squat Session🙌 Grab a set of DB’s (50lbs shown here) and get to squatting. The simple yet taxing setup: Set the clock for 30 minutes with 1 minute intervals running: Min: 1 - 10 Split Squats L Min: 2 - 10 Split Squats R Min: 3 - 10 Rack Squats That’s one ☝️ cycle and 3 total minutes the goal is 10 total cycles = 30 minutes of work and 300 total squat reps. The setup is not sexy and simple to follow but brutally hard to finish. As always scale the weight to your ability level and chase quality full range of motions reps. 🥵 200 Reps for Time ⏰ Barefoot Split Squat 💯 x 2 Rep Challenge for time ~ 100 Reps per leg of Bulgarian Split Squats = 200 total Reps. Took me 7:13 -the goal is chasing quality reps not the clock (8-10 minutes is a great 👍 time to complete this in) Note 📝: the gold standard is back knee to the floor (or whatever your full range of motion is) 🥴 Split Squats were once my enemy now one of my best friends. After doing a project with @bjgaddour years ago that should have been called “Split Squat Suicide” - I promised myself to do Split Squats everyday for 365 Days to ensure they never got the best of me again. 🤬6-Minute Split Squat Test🤬 My good homie @bjgaddour introduced me to a version of this 6-Minute Split Squat Hell Test a few years back and I throw this in at the end of leg 🦵 sessions to test myself now and again...both mentally and physically. Here is the setup: 90 seconds per leg in a bottom 30-30-30 second format x 2 cycles through per leg. 1. Bottom Half Split Squat 30 seconds 2. Top Half Split Squat 30 seconds 3. Full Range Split Squat 30 seconds Repeat this pattern on the each leg 🦵 x cycles through for 6 minutes of pure leg 🔥 🔥...the 🔐 key is to keep the tension on the legs through the bottom half -top half -then full range of motion Split Squat. The variations are only slight but deadly when done right, if you are looking to bulletproof your legs give this a try and test yourself.
