If you’re not aware of impermanence, then it might feel like something is trying to drag you down just when things are going good. It’s that sneaky suspicion that this too shall pass. Rather than allowing it to get you down, let’s shift your perspective. A central teaching of the yoga practice, impermanence teaches us to let go so that we can experience the present moment. It teaches us that clinging and holding and attaching is what actually causes our suffering. That doesn’t mean that we should avoid things in order not to suffer, it means to surrender so you can experience the joy of life happening right now.
