...and I'd get Him to swap our places or I think I’ve figured out what’s wrong with Max in the epilogue
Maybe I'm not the first one who thought of this, but I can't resist the urge to share it online!
blah blah english is not my first language etc
So, to explain how Will was able to meet Max and Holly, Robin illustrates the situation using records. She even takes them out of their covers to demonstrate how minds leave their bodies and return.
Record = person's mind, cover = their body, ok, I get it.
Mindy Flare also confirmed Robin's analogy on WSQK.
“Some minds/records, they just don’t belong in this world.”
And here's what Mindy's co-host Vance Goodman said.
My first thought was body-swapping. "Freaky Friday" situation or something like that.
And that’s what I came up with:
Max had been in a coma for many months; her cover had been empty for a long time.
But the record eventually returned to its rightful place in 5x07 - only to leave it again in 5x08. Thе episode that seems fake in almost every way.
So, Jane, Kali and Max... Three minds went to the enemy's lair.
But did everyone return safely?
After leaving Henry's maze of memories both Jane and Kali seem to be in their proper places.
But I can't trust anything that happened in the lab after Vekna attacked Hopper. He already showed him visions of his long-dead daughter and Jane with gunshot wounds. How can I be sure the hallucinations stopped there?
Meanwhile, Max woke up with a sharp gasp at the radio station.
But what if the wrong record was puted in her cover?
What if Kali occupied Max's body? By accident or intentionally, whatever.
If I only could make a deal with God... What's the best way to escape the government's sights? A radical change of appearance, of course!
When Dr. Kay discovers two redheads behind the secret door to the basement, the shot focuses on Max's terrified face. Even though Vicki is right there too! She's a very nervous person and probably scared to death!
And after this scene, we only briefly see Max silently crying during Jane's self-sacrifice.
Kali is a mysterious master of illusions, the anti-heroine archetype, we barely know her in fact!
If she's acting in collusion with Henry for her own selfish ends, then this is the perfect cover. Who would suspect a beloved friend who miraculously escaped death?
Something's clearly wrong with Max in the epilogue.
Only her binder remains on the shelf when Holly&friends come down to play. (Look at the top right corner of the frame: the boys’ binders have magically disappeared!)
omg, not the vessel behind Mary's head, I just noticed it 😭 but I'm getting off topic...
Btw Holly kept asking Max in Camazotz if she was who she claimed to be... Guys, I think it might be foreshadowing!
And finally, look at this poster!
A cute lil Kali's lab number right on the Max's sleeve 0️⃣0️⃣8️⃣
The first low-quality leaks of this poster appeared sometime in September or October, I think. But it wasn't officially released until 5x08 aired. Link to the poster artist's Instagram.
P.S. Do superpowers work without a body enhanced by Henry's blood? Or are the abilities purely mental? A good question to ponder!
