#may 31th anon #FRIENDS HOW ARE YOU DOING #i'm not sure where the last 12 months went??#i think i wrote about two emails and I did go to a robbie williams concert #which was great!! my mom and I got t shirts :)#not of the mails the shirts were of robbie williams #how are you??#i'm sorry I haven't been posting this year at all! so much was going on all the time and yet nothing has happened #for example this drawing is inspired by last weeks big happening in the town #the police was called because the local beekeeper dropped his bees on the ground and the bees were angry and they had to lock up the #street because of all of the angry bees but then 10 minutes later the beekeeper said that he had caught be boss bee the queen bee #and that no one should worry about the leftover angry bees because they would now integrate into nature #and I do not know if this is true #i have read a book about bees last year but it did not mention what you should do if you drop your bees #I really want to start beekeeping but I keep thinking oooh I will move soon to a different city I should not start having bees here #but maybe as long as you do not drop them things will be fine #I also went to london and I did go to speedy's!! Yes but right now it’s funnier to keep vague posting about it. Part of the conflict is that because of What Happens everyone knows Shane Hollander was fucking nasty with a fellow NHL player but no one know who it is. Part of the reason why he decides to fuck off with rose is to minimize the possibility of anyone forcing this guy’s identity out of him.

But the thing is that in the vacuum of information the Internet launches its own investigation and uses what little information it has to settle on who it believes is the most likely suspect by far. It is not Ilya Rozanov.

It is Carter Vaughn.

So he has to spend the entire fic fucking sweating because half of the worlds population is mad at him for fucking Shane Hollander and the other half of the worlds population is mad at him because he’s not STILL fucking Shane Hollander and he keeps having to spend every day like “guys please it is NOT me.” why does Ilya Rozanov suddenly want to fight him all the time isn't he going through enough already

I despise gen ai for a multitude of reasons, but the one that disgusts me the most is just the inherent disrespect you must have for anything creative in order to use it. Humans have been writing stories and making music and art for hundreds of years. And it costs nothing to do so but your time and a desire to. Generally right now, the world is not good. Things are getting worse. But making things for the sole purpose of wanting to - because you care enough to - and want to share in that with others - is one of the few things we have going for us. And you want to give that to a machine?

#like do you know how much time i have spent writing things i will never make a cent from #an embarrasing amount honestly lol #but the only way i can understand being okay with ai is if you've never experienced that yourself #to put in the hard work and have something to show for it that you're proud of #creation for the sake of creation #because imo that's the best feeling in the world! a reason for being alive!#and now at my job everyone is using generated photos for ads and everything #and how crazy is that #because we're FLOODED with ads all day long #and now it's not even real images or real people taking the time to put them together #but you still need it! buy it! pay for it!#truly what is the point #when you strip the process you remove any meaning #and obviously an email won't have the same meaning as like a short story #but it becomes another breakage for human connection if you’re not doing this thing yourself #another thing my coworkers have started doing is using ai to “check” their work #i think it's essentially serving as confirmation bias to make them feel more confident #but what is the worst thing that happens if you write an imperfect email #or the project you're working on needs edits #really just the fear of the response you'll get #and that's exactly what a lot of these ai companies want you to feel #that ai is your friend and is better than turning to another human and just saying hey what do you think #maybe there's also a point to be made that so many tasks as part of our days feel meaningless enough #that it's whatever to have ai do them #that's a much larger problem within itself #but by normalizing it there you're inviting it into other spaces too #flythepost

nothing's become more legitimately aggravating and exhausting to me over the past couple years than finding a 1-2 hour YT video about a game or movie or show or other piece of media where the youtuber raises an interesting question / subject in the headline and gets into a great flow establishing it in their opening segment just to drop it entirely to spend 50% of the video runtime explaining the media from start to finish like a wiki readalong as if i have never experienced this media before, despite the fact that i had to already be familiar enough with that media to be intrigued by the clickbait title and want to click on it in the first place
