Guess Storm's pep talk with her old man made Ororo remember who she is and who she's with. Like Ayodele told y'all, the streets always win.

Not scared.

Not dying.

Not depowered.

Not rutting in the mud like a dog.

Just a boss bitch wearing nothing but thigh-highs while keeping her man extra warm. And judging by that smile on T'Challa's face, she's doing one helluva job. Is it foreplay? Intermission? Afterglow? Mmmdunno. But I bet it doesn't end with Storm ghosting her lover in the middle of the night because she regrets having sex with him.

Ororo and T'Challa's divorce will always be contentious and I understand why because having them divorce in AvX of all places is the worst place for significant character development to occur but I have been obsessed with this sequence ever since I read it. The way it reveals their different ways of thinking and the ways they still love each other... T'Challa, a scientist, immediately trying to logically convince himself this is the best thing for Ororo in the long term, versus Ororo who sees this as her opportunity for love and a family taken away from her... ough 💔
