This is the last of the 21 new pieces created since March 2022 for my solo show currently on exhibit in Sacramento. It was a genuine delight to see them all meticulously hung and spaced with great care on the white walls interfacing with Crow lovers and assemblage art enthusiasts, many of whom had come a great distance in the central valley summer heat to engage with each piece on a personal level. It was an honor to see and meet every person I was fortunate to speak with. The journey to or from a destination is referenced as "the way the crow flies" typically when that distance is measured in a straight line. The physical completion of this show did not necessarily manifest as a straight line for me but my vision and actualization of the concept most certainly did. I am grateful to curators @artbyjuned and @sarahwhyte52 for offering me the opportunity and trusting in my professional integrity to deliver a show worthy of the lovely space at @arthouseonr.
