I honestly think Anne has a lot in common with ussop, like his cowardice is a result in a lack of self love and confidence. Anne avoids emotional conflicts, and ussop avoids physical conflicts, with each of them picking up that slack

I think a good example is Ussop immediately throwing hands when Luffy’s dream was mocked, and I think Ussop would fill in to sprigs role at the tower (slingshot included) and I think Anne would connect with Ussop on that level
