Summer posted new tops from Svaha last week, but that’s not all they had up their sleeves*… they also have a brand new GLOW-IN-THE-DARK total solar eclipse design for the Great American Eclipse happening in less than two months! I love how the design incorporates classic polka dots with iconic images before, during, and after a total solar eclipse (like the collage taken by astrophotgrapher Justin Ng from Palu, Indonesia on March 9, 2016 I found at Space.com).The design is available as an adult dress, raglan sleeve top, unisex t-shirt, tank top, kids dress, and kids t-shirt. Their copy is just sun-spot on (emphasis added):

Throwing astronomical shade!

Be ready when our moon performs the most epic photobomb of our sun ever. This astronomy-inspired design features the full progression of a total solar eclipse from full sun through partial eclipse to total eclipse, complete with the sun’s dazzling corona, and then back again. It’s the perfect attire for this summer’s total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. During the total eclipse portion of the show, your outfit will stand out, as the design glows in the dark. Today’s #SundaySelfie is from theoretical astro|physicist Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein with her undergraduate mentor, Prof. Melissa Franklin, that she shared on Twitter while at the American Physical Society meeting back in January. It’s also a #Sun-day post because of Chanda’s radiant* Dawa earrings (no longer available from @beyondbuckskin unfortunately, but there is a beautiful beaded northern star necklace!).

Dawa (also spelled Tawa) is the Hopi Sun spirit, who formed the First World and its original inhabitants from endless space. Chanda also shared a photo of her wearing the earrings while answering questions during a her talk at the APS April meeting (which happens in January sometimes!).

In addition to wrangling axions, Chanda does awesome activism work - make sure to check out her Decolonizing STEM reading list and other writing on Medium.
