Steak and Onions Picture it. Last night's dinner. A glimpse of lusciousness on Facebook live then a little TLC before gingerly being placed on the plate. Some A1 steak sauce and thyme accompany the eye of round steak, but first the meat was cooked to a medium well in a cast iron skillet with oil, butter, and thyme. It was seasoned only with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. To its side, a portion of sautee'd onions and (jalapeno) peppers cooked in garlic, gin, basalmic vinegar, and a dab or two of honey. Perhaps not as tender as I would have liked, but very tasty.... aaaannndddd now I'm hungry for it again. You've heard of Elf on the Shelf. Now witness...
