Hi! This is my take on an anti-endo / “sysmed” flag. I personally use sysmed to describe myself because

A. Endos throw it around like its an insult, but yes, I do view a medical condition as something medical, what about it?

B. I wanted to make a cool flag.

The purple stands for intelligence and wisdom, and the yellow is for healing, trauma recovery and solidarity between the community.

The caduceus is a symbol of medicine (which is why there is a Rod of Asclepius version!) the gears represent systemhood!

the thing about endos is like, I get feeling like you're different people and having alter egos like I understand using that as a coping mechanism. genuinely it took me so long to understand but genuinely I GET IT I get wanting to say you "switch identities" as a coping mechanism especially when your identity is so fragmented as is.

the issue is the fact that they don't understand that the plural community and its terms ARENT FOR THEM. you aren't a system because 'system' is EXCLUSIVELY for people who have experienced CDD .

genuinely it would be so valid to say "yeah I have alter egos" rather than saying "yeah I have headmates and use disabled resources despite being disabled"

NO, systems cant form from BPD, or maladaptive daydreaming, or schizophrenia, or whatever the fuck. this is ALTER EGOS. and they are VALID. LITERALLY just say alter egos and stop saying Plural and Systems and using our term and safe spaces because its a WHOOOLE different thing.
