I spent so much time at home that I had forgotten how comforting it is to go out and read in the park ✨

First time in my uni library and I fell in love with the aesthetic! It was actually the Political Sciences faculty's library, because Humanities' was all booked. It was a small and cozy place, and sitting right next to the bookshelves helped boosting my motivation - which I really needed, since I'm having a hard time focusing on, and understanding, one of the book I'm supposed to read for my Contemporary History exam (yes, still that one). Still, I really enjoyed the place, and I might end up booking a seat there (on purpose) a few times more this semester :)
feb 18 2021 // day 43 of 100 days of productivity
today:
draft frequency tables on verb and wh_type
research syntax for anova_test()
review consent and send compensations
psycholing readings
draft responses to whorfianism questions
it’s been such slow going with data analysis and this week I’ve already put more than ten hours into data wrangling and reading documentation and tutorials on different functions. the good news is that I’m not feeling nearly as frustrated as I did yesterday or the day before, and only part of that is thanks to the huge fluffy snowflakes outside.
some part of me was convinced that my value as a student and researcher was directly related to how few days it would take for me to turn around the analysis on this project and get it to my advisor. I don’t know where I got that notion since 1) stats definitely isn’t my strong suit 2) I had no idea how to do an actual anova in R before and 3) my advisor has decades of experience so of course she’ll be faster at this than I am. in the end, I realized that I’m learning and accomplishing one new and important thing a day in RStudio and that’s more than enough. for instance, learning about tidy data yesterday meant I could reorganize my data in a better way. then today I learned to make frequency tables with dplyr that I could finally use with anova_test(). the time between coding sessions really helped me see things more clearly and kept me from tearing my hair out.
anyway, it’s time to get back to my homework...
Last week of March spread. #SuperLateUpload ✨
Been very busy lately and I didn’t have time to upload my weekly spreads. Now I’m back. 🤍

Left the city for some days and it is so peaceful that feels like I have too much time to work and finish everything very quickly.
「 Day 23 of zoomester studyblr challenge - What’s some random miscellaneous piece of information that you just happen to know? 」
CPR was invented in 1956, which brings the question what people did before to help someone?
「 Day 24 of zoomester studyblr challenge - Share with us your favorite word 」
As a proud Portuguese, I will say saudade. This word doesn't have a literal translation to any language, but people say it is like a nostalgic longing for something that was loved before and end up being lost.
「 Day 25 of zoomester studyblr challenge - Tag someone who has great text posts 」
I am not remembering anyone, sorry...
「 Day 26 of zoomester studyblr challenge - What has been your best zoomester experience so far? 」
The day of the event which I spent 6 months preparing with students association which had more that one hundred people watching it!
「 Day 27 of zoomester studyblr challenge - If you’re about to graduate, what’s something that you’ll miss from school? If you aren’t about to graduate, tell us something you really love about school. 」
I am about to graduate, my ceremony is in the end of the month and my finals end in mid june so yeah... As someone introverted and with really difficulty making friends I have to say that I am going to miss my group of friends. I am trying to pursue for a master's degree, but it is going to be in a different university which means beginning all over again like when I was a freshman all alone. Besides that, I am going to miss my university parties, before covid hit, I went to all of them and it was such a stress reliever.
「 Day 28 of zoomester studyblr challenge - Spill the tea about the things that you’ve done during the zoomester (Online shopping, courses taken, any hobby) 」
I did more online shopping than in my entire life, I took three different courses, participate in more than five workshops, started reading again which made me buy and trade so many books that it is shocking, began my internship, end up being the coordinator of department in student association and began learning mandarin and japanese.
「 Day 29 of zoomester studyblr challenge - Quick! Name your own aesthetic! or alternatively, what’s an aesthetic you’d like to try out?」
I have a very basic minimal aesthetic.
