What if team Orochimaru was Kabuto, Gin & Anko?

girlies i have come to a conclusion. ponytail boy on team orochimaru

i am convinced it was yamanaka santa

age fits, appearance is only maybe a little bit different but the pupil-less look is something you see exclusively with the yamanaka and hyuuga clans and something is telling me that is not a hyuuga. would not be AT ALL surprised if orochimaru would go after a yamanaka with those sleazy slithery gross hands of his. now the interesting part is figuring out how do i project onto him

I think Anko and Orochimaru deserved one of those cute, framed team photos like everyone else got. Otherwise what’re they supposed to stare at wistfully while she processes her childhood trauma*?

// Ok, I like to talk about this guy, he has no name but he is given the name Kabuto’s Sensei. Who leads the trio of genin called “Team Kabuto.” 

I am shocked to learn that during his younger years, he was part of the team called “Team Orochimaru” and Anko was his teammate which means that the two have known each other but have chosen different careers. Which should’ve given a hint of Kabuto and his teammates. But at the same time, it’s unknown if he is a fellow Otogakure spy like Kabuto or he was truly a Konoha shinobi who had absolute no idea that his own students were spies.  Either they were that good as spies to be able to work under his nose or he was that oblivious since of course Kabuto could have fooled him but the other two? Not quite sure. 

So even after the Konoha Crush, it’s shown that he’s still working for Konoha as a Leaf shinobi. Even seen lending a hand in some certain fillers along with the other shinobi if you look carefully and is shown to be trustworthy in his own right.

I theorized and headcanon that he could actually have been and has always been loyal to Konoha but his memories were tampered by Kabuto (or Orochimaru) so that Kabuto and his teammates could carry out their given tasks while under his care. Or he could’ve gone traitor and decided to join Konoha in the end after the attack either to save himself or because he has grown to love the village more than Otogakure itself. Just like Anko, choosing to leave Orochimaru. 

We may never know since the anime and the manga tends to overlook the little things and ignore details. 

Fun fact: Including himself, all of his students are wearing glasses. And by the looks of it, he actually looks like he could be mistaken as Kabuto’s father just like Nono.
