Eönwë the herald of Manwë 🦅🦅🦅

I was a bit inspired by depictions of Egyptian gods with animal heads (in particular Horus) for this design, as I wanted him to have birdlike features due to his association with the Eagles of Manwë.

I’m pretty pleased with this design, but it might be changed in the future. Since the Valar are the pantheon for all of Arda, not just western-inspired Middle Earth, I want to take inspiration in my designs of them from many different pantheons and cultures from around our world. In this case, I’ve decided to take ancient Egyptian inspiration for Manwë, and by extension the Maiar associated with him!

Of course I haven’t fully ironed out my image of the Valar pantheon, so this may change I’m the future if I decide to take a different route.

This took a very long time because the only character I really had a design ironed out for was Feanor, so i had to design Finarfin, Fingolfin, and Melkor's form he took in Aman post-unchaining.

This idea came from remembering that part of Silm where Feanor essentially yelled at Melkor to get off his lawn and leave him alone. I got to thinking what if he didn't "get thee gone" and instead just stuck around like a creepy assistant? Everyone's stress levels would be super high all the time that's for sure!

I used the same base pose for all of them cause this is honestly just so I can reference my own designs, but someday I want to draw an actual family portrait of all of them.

Some designs I made after playing the new event quests because hnnnnnnnrg three Albedos. Design notes and bonus doodle under the cut.

So my Albedo design’s a bit different from his normal design because I figured since he spends so much time on Dragonspine he should have long sleeves/plants and a fluffy coat. Also gave him some potion belts and a bag to carry supplies in, because even Mondstat’s greatest Alchemist might need supplies every once in a while.

Subject #2/Primordial Albedo is very similar but I think his skin would probably have little cracks in it since he’s an imperfect creation. He can smooth them over easily (like he did with the neck marking) so no one will see them, but they’re still there.

The Fellflower Albedo mimicry has less color to its skin and constantly sheds petals from the folds in its clothing, as well as having a tinge of pink to its eyes. Basically it looks like something trying very hard to be human, but ultimately not quite getting there.

Also I really like the idea that Albedo and Subject #2 just kind of share an identity now. Two Albedo supremacy. Kaeya and Sucrose are suffering.
