Wild but utterly unsurprising that the present day trans MRA surge is a straightforward merger of men's rights activism and radfemism. Like of course that's what was going to happen when the averge transmasc’s stance on radical feminism is “fuck terfs!!! their ideology is bad because they hate men!” (ie: having no fucking clue what radical feminism is, thinking terfs mean "cis + trans men and also transfems, who we think are men” when they talk about “males”, and being incapable of identifying their rhetoric except by lucky accident). So literally all it takes is capitalizing on preexisting transmisogyny and just nudging transmascs a littttttle itty bit into accepting we’re members of the Female Sex Class (veiled with superficially progressive language) and that this is the source of our oppression as trans people to get the MRAs to buy into radfem ideology. Like Some of these guys are more classic men's rights activists who Don't consider themselves (whatever superficially trans-friendly verbiage they're using to say) ''females'' and instead position the oppression of transmascs as an intersection of transphobia and Very Real Systemic Misandry, but they're so thoroughly mingled with the cryptoterfs and so united with them in hatred towards trans women that it doesn't really matter.

And so you get these fucking clowns going “transfeminists call us both terfs and MRAs...how is that possible when terf Hate man and we Support man? If anything they’re the real terfs (let's call them 'TRFs', meaning 'trans radical feminists'! checkmate!) because they’re vicious misandrist bitches who make gender essentialist statements like ‘male privilege exists' and 'trans men are actually literally men'” and their dipshit followers (who may or may not know + don't ultimately care that they're surrounded by cryptoterfs) are like “so true... fuck terfs/trfs <3” and the open terfs on the fringes are like “it’s so good to see trans females finally taking a stand against their trans-identified male oppressors”

Not to be a terrible tech bro (comp sci undergrad), but the way this site talks about AI is so deeply reductive... Yes, step one is accepting that not all AI is bad and terrible all the time. But step two is accepting that you can't easily draw a moral binary between analytical/"good" AI and generative/"bad" AI.

just kidding KIND OF,, I’ve been going through some absolutely DETRIMENTAL burnout lately (mainly with a ton of traditional pieces and cosplay stuff I’m having to cook up in a limited amount of time) but I think I’m finally sort of getting out of it(?).
