pov when u disappear for a few months and come back with a young justice obsession and a handful of redesigns (wait and theres lore too)
I think we gloss over the fact that Clark is an alien with a completely different set of dna than humans. Like you know how we have genetically ingrained fears from past generations. Like social anxiety is so common because back in the good old hunting and gathering ages it was a bad thing to draw too much attention or whatever. Same with spiders and snakes, the reason why the fear for them is so common is because they have been dangerous with their venom for generations.
Young Clark in school getting stared down by a group of older boys and he’s just chilling and staring back because his instincts don’t tell him that something is wrong.
Him happily helping Martha get the spiders out of the house because he never understood why people fear them.
Never having problems with presentations during high school and beings so confused why everyone’s heart rates went up when it was their turns.
Later when he joins the justice league he finds it strange to know that these superhero’s also seem the get nervous every time they have to speak infront of a large audience.
Batman as the greatest detective that he is figures this out and makes sure that superman will handle all the public speaking for the justice league after that since he’s invulnerable to stage fright.
Non-negotiable HCs I have (Tim edition):
When he’s home alone (or at least thinks he is), he starts talking to himself like he’s hosting a podcast. He even asks himself questions and answers them in different voices or accents.
It’s his deepest secret, and he has no plans to ever tell anyone
-•-
When he’s too tired to function but can’t sleep for whatever reason (probably a nerve-wracking case), he chews on coffee beans like they’re candy
-•-
He’s such a terrible driver that even Kon—who loves to remind everyone he’s invulnerable—refuses to ride as his passenger
-•-
One time, Jason had to give him a ride on his bike during a mission, and Tim fell asleep. Jason had to stop him from giving the asphalt “a passionate French kiss” (Jason’s words).
To be fair, Jason’s back is literally a giant, perfectly warm pillow designed to put you to sleep instantly
-•-
He likes rings but rarely wears them because he’s terrified of losing a finger if one gets caught on a fence or something during one of Red Robin’s spontaneous missions…
-•-
He’s biologically incapable of keeping a plant alive. He either overwaters, dries them out, prunes them too much—basically, if it’s possible to kill a plant, he’ll find a way
-•-
He laughs (hysterically) to keep from crying.
-•-
“My trauma, my jokes.”
Most of his humor revolves around his abandonment issues and his constant need to prove himself useful.
-•-
I’m convinced he’s left-handed… no idea why
-•-
He wears blue light glasses because his vision is trashed after years of staring at screens in the dark without blinking.
-•-
He loves lemon candies (sorry about his old man soul)
-•-
Bruce doesn’t like Kon. He thinks he’s “a fool trying to be cool but failing miserably” and believes his son is way cooler.
Clark doesn’t like Tim. The kid freaks him out a little because he seems to have zero remorse and can manipulate Bruce however he wants—either without Bruce noticing or, worse, with Bruce noticing but choosing to ignore it.
[Technically, this should go under the Supers and Bats edition, but I do what I want :p]

I can't say hello to you and risk another goodbye
old friend ~ timkon
happy birthday tim drake!!! only one day late, so not too bad! the final panel isn’t my favorite but I didn’t want to redraw it for the millionth time
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I really love timkon, so this is my little dedication post to them. But also, I love the idea that they’re a high school situationship and they don’t end up together despite their love for one another. I just love doomed romances. I think mitski’s old friend really encapsulates what I think their relationship is post timber. this is from the perspective of kon, even if it is a Tim Drake birthday post because 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️. Chose old friend because mitski :) Now I am going to rant! I may not have much to say that’s unique.
the first line “we nearly drowned for such a silly thing” shows Tim and Kon watching a sunset while in their awkward closeted relationship. Not much else to say for that panel? They’re destroying themselves for a “silly” teenage relationship
then “someone who loves me now better than you” is alongside a photo of Kon and Cassie. Cassie is able to love Kon better than Tim is because Cassie is open about her love. Tim is closeted when he’s with Kon, which puts a strain on their relationship. I don’t like Kon and Cassie together, but I do love them as close friends. I don’t like the way I drew Cassie because I don’t think she looks as cool as she really is
“and that pretty friend is finally yours” is a reference to Tim getting together with Bernard, his high school friend. I used this cute couples photo I found on Pinterest as reference for them. They’re my everything. I wholeheartedly believe that bernard liked Tim from the beginning, but Tim liked Kon during his time at Louis e. Grieve. Something something temporary unrequited love. Also Bernard is absolutely playing up the straight man character during his time at Grieve because why was he talking about Dana like that 😭
“and I’ll be around on Sunday if you’ll meet me at blue diner” is Tim and Kon meeting up after timber(n) and talking about, as mitski puts it, nothing. They’re both happy in their respective relationships, but I think there’s this reconciliation that happens at blue diner
oughh I love tim drake and me and mister wolf
(close up and no words undercut !)
i love my little gay boys that will never make it to canon (and also the ones who did)
Based on an actual conversation I had with my mother:
Bruce, walking into the kitchen where Tim is sitting working on his laptop: Hey, do you think Clark is gay?
Tim, not looking up: Absolutely
Bruce: What about Diana?
Tim: Oh for sure
Bruce: Interesting... what about me?
Tim: Nah
Bruce: Oh thank God
Tim: You're bi as fuck tho
Bruce: I am not. I would know if I was
Tim: I mean, I wouldn't know, but I'm pretty sure straight people don't kiss nearly as many people of their own gender as you have
Bruce: What are you talking about. Everybody practises kissing with their same sex friends before getting a partner
Tim: ...
Bruce: ... I think... I need to call Clark
Tim: Yeah, thought so
Bruce turns to leave and stops at the door, turns around: WAIT, DID YOU JUST COME OUT TO ME
Tim: This is my third time, actually, but thanks for finally noticing
