I think Russell t Davies is good at writing things that are, while flawed, genuinely good but are also so realistically horrific that you never want to watch them again

The most unrealistic thing about tiptoe is the imaginary scenario where a ‘trans lesbian’ (ie heterosexual man) would do anything helpful for a gay boy in a homophobic family
