Wadour Castle - Wiltshire County - England
Built in the late 14 century Wardour Castle stands in a remote valley site in Wiltshire. The nearest town being Tisbury. It was attacked by Cromwell's forces in the Civil War although it had no defensive position, and was mined and partly destroyed. It is a grade I listed structure in the care of English Heritage. The nearest town to the site is Tisbury (approx. 4 miles) which also has a railway station.
