Warning: talk of dysphoria and mental health problems below - followed by a question
I can’t do this anymore I stg. I can’t wait four years to get my first appointment and then another 2 years for a second one. I can’t wait that long to start hormones, I’m dying. Each day is a struggle and I’m slowly losing my spirit. I can’t stand body dysphoria and social dysphoria - I don’t mind waiting really long for my top surgery, but if I’m going to make it through, I just really need testosterone.
If you’ve read this far, can I ask for some advice? I cannot wait that long for hormones, and I can’t DIY them, because it’s illegal and very dangerous if I get the dose wrong (therefore, very difficult to get my hands on without a doctors note - why is it so easy for cis men to get testosterone but so difficult for trans men?? it’s not fair). The only option to speed this through is to pay for it - we’re talking maybe £800 - £1000 maybe? (I dont know if thats correct but it’s going to be alot) from the research I’ve done. I need to save up but I also need a way to speed this up - I’ve already got so many costs to cover and am already heavily relying on other people. I need to do this myself, I can’t ask anyone else for this.
So - the only skill I can offer is writing. Should I do commissions? An only fans or something? I need advice on the best route. And if a particular one, how would I go about doing that? I’ve been looking for odd jobs on writing, but I can’t find anything that offers at my skill level, if you see what I’m saying. Any other things you can think of that could work? I’d really appreciate it.
