I am getting really sick of seeing the sentiment that I as a Trans Woman doing things to help my dysphoria are me appeasing Cis people or me Harming myself.
Fucking stop posting that angels loose their wings when we get surgeries or voice train or buy clothes we like. Stop posting that you only see me getting bottom surgery as me trying to make some fucking cis transphobe happy. Stop posting about how you think it's not sexy if I don't have a girlfriend for you to fetishize and fantasize about what type of lesbian sex we'd have. Stop telling us to break up with folks who have loved and supported us because you assume we are too stupid to keep ourselves safe.
And especially take the word Transfeminist out of your bio if you are going to post these, because you are not fighting for my rights if you're just fucking shaming me for taking care of myself as a Trans person.
Also if you're white leave me out of your arguments about how "us" as trans woman have it worse especially because of me being black. My Blackness isn't yours, and neither is my Black Trans experience.
My life as a Black Trans sex worker is not for you to wave around to say that we suffer the most. We as Trans people fight together or we are not fighting against at all. There is less of us than there are of them, we don't have the privilege that cis people do to sit here and be divided over, what was it you guys say on here, Opression Olympics?
I came on here for fucking kink posting and my tags are just constantly full of shaming or discourse now unless I block every other trans person I run into on there .
And that's disgusting really, considering we're meant to be in this together.
The way white trans people refuse the fact they are privileged for being white because they think being transgender erases the fact that they are white.
Hey you stupid fucking nigger maybe consider that just because a trans woman is white that you still can harm her AS A WOMAN!! SINCE YOU ARE A MAN!
Answering this solely because this ask would not exist or not for this discourse and the way folks have milked all men are evil, taking us BACKWARDS in intersectionality.
Someone who is confident enough to call me a "stupid fucking nigger" is telling me that my gender completely and solely always give me privileges even in the case of race related situations.
You people are disgusting. It's absolutely vile that this has come this far.
I really, really hope that you all have thought about us black folks and other people of color in this. Because frankly this one got to me. It's upsetting that it feels like it's going backwards.
well, i think actually maybe acknowledging that trans men are more than just white people from imperial cores who get to pass more safely than if they were poc from the global south [who literally may not even have the opportunity to try present as their preferred gender for fear of being harmed far worse than in a western country] is actually supportive of transgender people!
your racism is showing.
I bring a sort of “black cis women are still affected by transmisogyny” kinda vibes that tumblr don’t like.
(on a post about issues faced as a tmoc) saw this comment and it really hits the spot abt my thoughts on this lol
I’ve always had a very complicated identity, and despite being raised as a girl my entire life I’ve always felt very, detached from the concept. I am a black person, so I have always just felt so, disconnected from the idea of femininity.
I’m trans male myself but I’ve found that I relate to the trans feminine term due to all that. I’ve always felt more isolated around my female peers. I was always a weird black girl. I found that my femininity wasn’t seen in the same way, and that sometimes I wasn’t even seen as female.
Most of my dysphoria is just about that, not feeling like I was ever a perfect girl.
It’s so complicated, but I think it is transgynephobia, along with some other things (Is that how it’s spelled?)
Yes, that is how it's spelled, & tysm for sharing this personal story. I feel people don't talk about how POC can have their own complex relationships with gender & SIG that look entirely different than the white "standard" way of experiencing things. Peace be, sweetashe.
