"steven universe queer" is an insult directed at queers who like steven universe, younger queers, queers who dont engage in drugs, sex, and/or other "mature"/"adult" activities, queers who advocate for kindness and inclusionism, queers seen as "sensitive" or "emotional", queers who like bright and/or cute aesthetics, queers who identify with xenogenders and/or other uncommon identities, and queers generally seen as "cringe". it is very similar to the term "tenderqueer" and overlaps with the term "transtrender" in its usage
one does not have to specifically like steven universe to identify as/reclaim steven universe queer
growing up is realizing that those people depicted in the 'trender' drawings that truscum made are super fucking cool.
