A Second Chance

The time of the Elves has come to an end, and Galadriel reaches out to Maglor one last time, just before they make the final journey across the sea.

I had this cosplay photo taken of my Maglor and my friend @moodrose's Galadriel at Katsucon 2025, and we managed to get set up just in time for the sunset! The rocky shore outside the convention center was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for this shot. This was a last-minute idea I had, but it really paid off, because we knew this photo would be perfect for @tolkienrsb, leaving plenty of room for the author to develop Maglor and Galadriel's relationship. Look forward to reading @starspray's amazing fic when the collection goes live on Sept. 6!

A Message Came to Rómenna

It is TRSB time again! After a slightly rocky process with finding author(s) for my prompt this year, I am so happy this art found a home with @fiammagalathon. And in a quite late pinch hit! So I hope you enjoy a dive into the really depressing and chaotic moment that is very late Númenor. This art has been in a perpetual state of early WIP since trsb 2022, but it finally found its way to actually being drawn, and I think I like this version much better than I would have done then, probably. Anyway thank you for your attention, now go read my author's story! -> To the fic:

The Akallabêth tells the tale of the Fall of Númenor. Well. Of the Lords, and of how their actions led to it. For the common folk there is little place in tales and legends.

But they lived there. They had to work there, find ways to bring bread to the table. They loved, they laughed, they held children and did little kind things to each other.

Hello wonderful Internet beings! This is my art submission for this year's Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang, which I can finally share. It's done in watercolour, and based on illuminated manuscript art. The amazing @arlenianchronicles wrote a beautiful story inspired by it, which you'll be able to read very soon✨

To Mairon, With Love

Summary:

Long has Celebrimbor held himself as an elf apart, leery of the romantic entanglements of his peers; but when Narvi of Khazad-dûm proposes a dwarven marriage, his heart stirs at that thought for the first time with joy instead of dismay and fear.

But elves and dwarves were not made to wed: all know this, from the youngest apprentice of Ost-in-Edhil to the wisest of the Wise, even unto Galadriel herself. And Celebrimbor does not want an elvish marriage. Can they still cleave their hearts together when all the world tells them they should not; tells them that their love is unworthy and untrue?

And if they do, is it possible that in the doing they might find a way forward that offers a hope that things for the Gwaith-i-Mírdain might end a little bit better than they did before?
