Aro figures he has 10 years to scheme. Edward dangles the carrot that if it goes well perhaps there will be more "internships" between covens.

What no one expected was for it to be a "student exchange program" and now the Cullens have to figure out how to help Jane abstain from blood and fit in a human town. (She too desires to get away from her overbearing family)

To Carlisle the threshold of the Cullen estate usually acted as a sensory filter. A place where the noise and pretense he had to maintain was traded for the crystalline clarity of his family's presence. 

As soon as he walked in he was surrounded by the light pooling from the open windows. It felt intimate and alive, a private cathedral of comfort tucked away in the deep forest, where the boundary between the wild woods and the civilized hearth was almost like the a physical limit between two different worlds.

It was a place where the noise and pretense he had to maintain was traded for the crystalline clarity of his family's presence. A place where his family didn't need to hold themselves back. But tonight, the scent of Amelia; that terrifyingly vibrant, honeyed warmth clung to his skin like a physical weight.

I’m considering posting some extras from How Did We Get Here since a good amount of the readers seem to have never read the original books. Sort of like a commentary cut, going into more detail about some of the changes I’m making to it. Because if you haven’t read it, you’re missing a lot of context and inside jokes. Would anyone be interested in that?
