Remembering Pokemon type match ups can be difficult- I mean ya got the basic stuff

Fire beats Grass

Grass beats Water

Water beats Fire

But the others I’ve noticed folks have difficulty remembering. So people of Tumblr- I give you my Comprehensive Autism Guide to remembering Type Matchups

Grass resists Electric because photosynthesis

Steel is super effective against Fairy cause Fairies can’t usually touch iron

Rock is super effective against Flying cause if you throw a rock at a bird, it’ll die

Flying is super effective against Fighting because have you tried punching a bird? It’s hard

Fairy is weak to Poison because fairies don’t like pollution

Rock and Ground are weak to Water cause of Erosion

Fighting is super effective against Dark because dark types are a buncha neeerrrrdddssss

Bug is super effective against Grass because buggy eat lefa

Dark is super effective against Ghost because it’s the superior evil type

Psychic is super effective against Poison because psychics can predict the future, therefore preventing pollution

Fighting is super effective against Rock and Ice because you can punch through them

Psychic is super effective against Fighting because PSYCHIC ATTACK

Ice is super effective against Dragon because ice needs a win

Electric is super effective against Flying because of old Looney Tunes cartoons where birds get shocked on the powerline

IN MY OPINION ICE TYPES NEED TO RESIST MORE TYPES, IT HAS SO MANY WEAKNESSES BUT ONLY RESISTS ITSELF.

They need to resist dragon, water, and grass, they could resist normal and bug but it's not necessary.

Honestly I don't get why people think Ice type pokemon should resist Water type moves. If that interaction is anything but neutral, it would be the other way around. Water is more conductive to heat than air, so getting Ice wet would make it melt faster.

On the other hand, Ice is a great insulator of electricity, so it makes much more sense for Ice to resist Electric type moves.

The Koraimon Starter Quartet Types Explained

In this post I will explain my type quartet (yes a type quartet not a trio) of my starter types of Koraimon, which unlike Pokémon with its Starter Type trios which those 4 types are Fire, Water, Plant, and Arachnid (the replacement of the Bug Type in Pokémon) first let’s talk about the first type.

Fire: The Fire type is just like the Fire type in Pokémon but without the resistance to the Plant Type, I’ll explain it when I get to the Plant Type, but nothing has changed between Pokémon’s Fire type and Koraimon’s Fire type. Water: Nothing has changed other than a few new resistances. Plant: Ok the Plant type is now neutral to Fire due to some plants being resistant to fires and some aren’t resistant. Arachnid: This has resistance to Plant but is weak to Fire along with a few other resistances and weaknesses
