☕️ tma fandom preference for the Micheal iteration of the Distortion over the Helen iteration (ok yeah this is probably a leading question)
(gonna answer the rest of these from yesterday, you can send more if you really want to but I'll only answer new ones if I've got something meaty to say)
I think they're both some of the best executed parts of the podcast and they hit very different beats as horror monsters, and I can get being more into michael's flavor of scary over helen's flavor of scary, but I believe most of the fan content is less centered on the scaries and more on shelley/distortion identity problems and sadness and betrayal, which helen also has in spades. I don't begrudge anyone their michael enjoying, but idk maybe helen could take a turn having complex archivist emotions and kissing gerry about it. yknow, there's that brief sliver of time where jon had gerry's page stashed in his office and helen popped in for a visit once, maybe gerry gets summoned and sees the yellow door appearing in his vision and thinks "omg michael it's been so long" then he finishes materializing and it's a Helen Jumpscare and he feels #weird about it. food for thought.
