Hallucination disorders, cluster B personality disorders, and paranoid disorders aren’t the only psychological disorders that can cause violent urges and impulses.
Good old fashioned anxiety can do the same thing.

Anyone else who do stabbing gestures or who stab (with whatever they have in hand) something/the air when they get mad? It's one of my usual physical reaction when I'm angry.
I also usually hit my forehead and/or a body part like my thighs or arms. If I don't do that on myself or on an object I will surely do it on someone else, so I guess self-ha-rm that doesn't causes much damages is better than getting in—potentially legal—trouble for beating someone.
I would totally do it on someone if I wouldn't get in trouble for it tho, especially if my anger issues were triggered by someone, then I wish I could off them in some of the most violent ways possible.
Tom Riddle x Reader
Passion ran through us like blood. It was a lie, a misunderstanding, a mistake causing the most vicious fight we've ever had. I slapped him as hard as I could, so hard that my hand burned from the contact. I remember Tom stumbling back, laughing insanely, darkly proud of me. Tom was feral with want from the violence; I could see it in his eyes. I couldn't hold back my anger. His laughter broke something inside me. I ran at him and jumped into his arms too suddenly, taking us both down, his back slamming the ground with a sickening thud. I will never forget that sound. At the time, I was blind with rage. Before I knew it, my hands were wrapped around his throat, choking him. He stared up at me, love in his eyes. All I could hear over the rushing blood in my ears was his gasping breath chanting, "I love you, I love you, I love you," over and over again. I stood up, looking down at him gasping for air, and spat on him. I turned and walked away. He followed me, of course he did. He grabbed my arm, the one with the hand that I'd had slapped him with, spun me around, and kissed me so violently that it made what happened before seem like child's play.
As someone who’s struggled with violent tendencies due to general anxiety disorder and ADD, I need to sit down and seriously talk to those of you who are mentally ill, but aren’t violent or aren't violent unless directly provoked.
If you don’t manifest mental illness violently, then you’re significantly more likely to be given empathy, the benefit of the doubt, second chances, etc.
People look at the way your mental illness manifests before they look at what underlies it, what the root cause of that behavior is. They don’t care that someone who hurts themself is doing it for the same reason another person hurts other people.
Your mental breakdowns, because they don't directly harm other people, are seen as signs of emotional turmoil. A violent person's mental breakdown is often interpreted as completely and totally within their control, and as a representation of their true moral beliefs.
This is especially bad when you don't appear mentally ill most of the time. If you're completely sound and coherent most of the time, no one is going to believe that your judgement was poor when you were breaking down.
I don't take this shit lightly, because if I was a working class black boy instead of an upper-middle class white girl, I would likely have been incarcerated several times by now. I'm damn lucky I got such intensive treatment as young as I did.

Oops the Hollow Knight brainrot is strong! I showed off the lass but not the lad. Special thanks to @frostedgrape for cleaning them up for me to color ;v;
The first is Spectr, she is a Vessel that crawled out of the abyss and wandered all the way to Greenpath where she collapsed and almost met the fate of her previous siblings until she was found by the tall lad, a Bee named Stinger.
He brought the sickly child to his Hive where his mother nursed her back to health and now Spectr resides with the Hive. She and Stinger and inseparable, until Spectr wanders off.
