NEW FOOD TREND: THE RAMEN BURGER!
I like to think that I am in the the know when it comes to the NYC Foodie scene but this weekend I was stumped by a good Friend and fellow Foodie. We were swapping stories of the "Must have" food items in NYC, which included the "cronut," but he totally blew my mind when he mentioned that the day before, at the Brooklyn Smorgasburg, there was a new food craze that challenged that of the cronut! Ladies and Gentlemen, VISENYC is proud to announce the "Ramen Burger!"
This amazing hybrid was debuted this weekend at Brooklyn Flea's Smorgasburg by Shoyu Ramen Burger. Chef Keizo Shimamoto blew everyones mind with this burger! According to the Smorgasburg website, its made of "a 75%-25%, lean-to-fatty, juicy patty topped with shoyu (a secret sauce that is soy sauce based), scallions, and arugula, all packaged in a "ramen bun" made from Sun Noodles and a touch of sesame oil." Are your mouths watering yet? Mine sure as hell is!
My friend told me the line was about 150 people long and they were all trying to snag 1 of the 100 ramen burgers that were being made that day! Would you try this? Are you brave enough to handle an all beef patty, shoyu sauce, scallions, arugala, a pinch of love, all sandwiched between a sesame oil slathered ramen bun? Lol. I hope they will be cranking out these babies next week... I am soooo heading there and will even camp out if I have to! I wonder what the weather is gonna be like this weekend... Lol. See ya there!
