Oh I constantly forget to mention this but pro-tip for people who are having to do a lot of speaking in Spanish
If you make a mistake (and we all do), you can quickly correct yourself and then add the word digo after it
Literally, digo is the present tense yo form of decir "to say", so you essentially are saying "I say" but it comes out like "I should say" or "I mean"
As in... if make a small mistake you can just quickly correct it that way. Like if you accidentally say "una planeta" you can just say un planeta, digo as your correction
The digo is your way of being like "oops I made a mistake, I know it was a mistake and I misspoke here is the actual thing"
...
This is especially helpful for any oral exams, just because you get the opportunity to correct yourself, but in Spanish and sound very natural
A language-learning method that I LOVED when I started learning Spanish was this: I had a recording where the recording said a phrase in English, then a phrase in Spanish, and then you had to repeat the phrase in Spanish in a short silence. Later in the recording, once you'd learnt the Spanish, the recording would give you a phrase in English, then a silence, then the correct phrase in Spanish. You had to say something in the silence, didn't matter if it was correct or not.
This recording works like that - two rounds of English-Spanish-silence, then two rounds of English-silence-Spanish-silence. I made it for me, based on phrases that I found when reading/watching things made by native Spanish speakers, but I think this method is so useful that I wanted to put it out there for other Spanish learners.
This is C1-C2 level, and I'm putting the vocab under the cut in case you want to be able to spell anything (do not look at it while doing the exercise, as it totally defeats the point of stretching your listening/speaking skills).
