"How was your flight here?" Ryouichi asked as he untangled the intestines between his chopsticks. Vienne giggled as she picked up her own and tried to help him, only for the steamer knock into her face.
"It was fine, thank you," Vienne pressed her hand onto her face, adjusting her glasses for a moment before deciding to take them off. Right then, she waved her eyes at the emerging smoke. Meanwhile, her ring shone in the fluorescent lights; Ryouichi caught the garish glow of Vienne's turquoise, then grabbed her hand to examine it further.
"Did the merchandise get there safely?" He asked, before watching his meat again. Before he knew it, the pale flesh turned brown and then suddenly to black. Startled, Vienne fanned the smoke, before splitting the remains amongst herself.
Narrowing her gaze, Vienne tried to give a signal before eating, focusing on the dry meat and its rough texture. Chewing, she tapped her foot on the ground as she tried to savor the experience, one she neglected whenever she passed a Korean restaurant. Meanwhile, Ryouichi laid the tips of his chopsticks on the grill, sloping forward like a damaged bridge. Once she finished eating, she nodded with an awkward motion, her chin jutting forward.
"That's great--do you think that the party will feature some new clients?"
"Maybe; I could imagine we could meet up with manufacturers and try to get more of these rings made? Should we prioritize the jewels, or the metal?"
"The jewels have their own properties, depending on what they mean," Vienne replied, gazing at the slight sunlight dancing on the industrial gray walls. "We'd have to create more of them, though."
Ryouichi smiled, before offering a piece of pork belly her way. Vienne picked it up with her chopsticks, hesitating for a moment before leaving it on the side.
"You know I don't eat pork," Vienne said, passing a giggle.
"Then why did you come here?"
"Because I wanted to try something nice and eat well. There's a bunch of options which couldn't involve pork," Vienne replied, eyeing the marbled beef in front of her. Picking it up from the tray, she gave it a second before letting it fall on the grill with a sizzle.
"Do you that Ms. Kaya would want to have some barbecue herself?" Ryouchi asked, only for Vienne's hand to freeze in mid-air. The ring started to emit smoke, whereas a muddied glow surrounded the turquoise. Ryouichi cupped his hands around her svelte fingers, adjusting his grip so that he wouldn't get burned.
"What's happening. How is she--"
Vienne retreated her hand, muttering, "I don't know what i can say about that."
"But do you know if she's coming?"
