Week 70, Day 484.
I don’t actually know what happened this week. I think I’ve just been so busy with data analysis, and stuff at home, that every day has merged into the next. So instead of writing a proper post, I’ll leave you with a bullet point summary of some of the highlights of the week, a book recommendation, and some photos...
I cannot stress enough how great being back in a routine has been. 🌟
Dancing in the office on a Friday night to some loud music with a fellow PhD student is a pretty great way to spend a Friday evening in the office. 🎵
Always offer a cup of tea or coffee to a trade person (e.g. plumber), because it’s a nice thing to do, and also because they instantly warm to you, which can lead to some interesting conversations. ☕
Book recommendation for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the world we live in: Matt Haig - Notes on a nervous planet. 📚 I have just ordered two more of his books: ‘Reasons to stay alive’ and ‘How to stop time’.
A glass of wine is very welcome after a 10k run. 🍷
Aquaman is an awesome film. Also, Jason Momoa is basically a God amongst men. 🌊
Gluten-wheat-egg-dairy free bread has no right to be called ‘bread’ anymore. 🍞
We went to Castleton, a beautiful little village in the Peak District this weekend and ended up on a long and snowy walk (see photos below). ❄
I imagine I’ll have a little more to say next time as this is going to be quite a full-on week for me. But for now, enjoy some super snowy photos from our walk in the Peaks.
Happy 5th BDay to the Prince of Barkness!
