Castiel wants Crowley to tell him he loved him; Crowley doesn't want to because he's afraid he's going to get hurt.
Hi Nonnje Hmm hmm hmm I love me some crowstiel but no one else seems to - also I never write drabbles lets see how this goes . Holy crap I can barely type
…
Castiel touched Crowley’s shoulder gently.
"Please…" He said gently.
"Don’t make me, Castiel." Crowley growled, not turning around.
Castiel gripped Crowley’s shoulder tightly. “I need to hear it.” He squeezed harder.
"No." Crowley answered stubbornly.
"Do you love me? It’s a simple question." Castiel prompted.
Crowley whirled around to face Castiel, pushing the angel’s arm away. “How dare you ask me if I love you?”
Castiel’s eyes flashed with his grace. “How dare you deny it?” He growled.
Castiel grabbed Crowley’s wrist. They glared at each other. Crowley’s eyes flashed red. He yanked his hand back and moved his face inches away from Castiel’s.
“What do you think?” Crowley snarled. He reached down to grip Castiel between the legs. He smirked when he felt the angel’s erection.“Always the cockslut, Castiel.” Crowley praised. He squeezed and Castiel groaned.
“No more than you, Crowley.” Castiel spat back. He pushed the demon’s hand away.
Crowley raised a hand to fling Castiel against the wall, but the angel was ready, raising his hand to block Crowley’s attack. They growled at each other. Red eyes met blue ones with anger.
“I need to hear it.” Castiel gritted.
“Why Castiel? I’ve never known you to be so- sentimental.” Crowley retorted. Castiel leapt forward and pushed the demon to the ground, straddling him and pressing his hands into Crowley’s shoulders.
He hissed at Crowley, his hot breath against the demon’s mouth.“Crowley, I need to hear you say it.”
Crowley lunged forward and kissed Castiel violently. He bit the angel’s bottom lip hard, making Castiel yelp. Castiel pulled away gasping.
“Why is this so important, Castiel? You know how I feel…” Crowley tried to capture the angel’s lips again but Castiel turned his head obstinately.
Castiel glared at Crowley. “You know why. I’m taking a huge risk everytime I come here. There are already whispers that I am consorting with the King of Hell. I risk everything coming here. I need to know if it’s worth it.”
“Let them talk.” Crowley murmured. He grabbed Castiel’s tie and pulled him in for a rough kiss. Once again, Castiel pulled away.
“No.”Castiel said defiantly. “Either you tell me. Or I leave.”
Crowley kept his expression neutral but inwardly he was panicking. He needed Castiel. Castiel made him feel things no one else did. Castiel made him feel like he was worthy of love and goodness. That he was more than a glorified demon managing the messy beaurocracy of Hell.
“I mean it Crowley.” Castuel threatened. He sat up, lifting himself away from Crowley.
Crowley felt bereft; he wanted Castiel on top of him again. It would be so easy to say those three little words. But was it worth losing his dominion? Almost.
Castiel was standing now. He looked at Crowley with disdain. “They say demons can’t love. I thought you were different.”
“Castiel…” Crowley murmured. “I-” But he couldn’t make himself finish the sentence. He was too afraid. He didn’t believe that someone as pure and good and beautiful as Castiel could love a loathsome creature such as himself.
Castiel looked at Crowley with contempt. “Goodbye, Crowley. Don’t expect me again.” He said flatly.
“No…don’t go!” Crowley pleaded. “I-love you…”
But Castiel had already vanished. Crowley sank to his knees, sobbing into his hands. He felt utterly and completely alone. And he had only himself to blame.
