A collection of concepts I've done for the trolls if they had wings, drawn over the years. Some notes and headcanons:

Karkat doesn't have wings because he's a mutant. Yes, I am going to deny him flight even now. I think it's very funny.

Gamzee doesn't have a wing design yet bc I can't decide on their shape and he's my least favourite troll which is unfortunately a contributing factor. I will do my best.

Vriska and Equius I'm still unsure of. I quite adore helltier Vriska's wing design with the 8/infinity symbol, but I wanted to incorporate their zodiac signs because

I headcanon that the caste signs got developed by taking a look at pupated wings of adult trolls and then went from there

They are very butterfly-like in a sense that they can fold them just like aradia does in that one picture, but also very flexible and vein-like. They are covered in a soft, moth-like fuzz

I wanted to make Terezi's look a bit dragon-like. Incorporating her sign was a nightmare lmao, but I'm quite happy with what I came up with.

I am extremely happy with how Eridan and Feferi's turned out. Especially Feferi's. I played arround with the geometry of it, since her sign is deceptively diffficult to incorporate as well.

I headcanon that trolls can paint their horns in many different colors just like one might paint their nails. It's a fashion statement.

Moirails can paint each other's wings, or even tattoo them, as a sign of devotion, hence Nepeta and Equius. :33 -/->

Kanaya's wings sparkle because rainbowdrinker. She is awesome like that.

I finally did designs for the early batgirl/robin wings! Thoughts on these designs?

I wanted earlier wings to be more simple, as they're more like prototypes of sorts lol. These are the undersides of the wings while the smaller bits to the side are the tops.

I forgot had a mlp deity au I was working on and did some redesigns for that. I lost a lot of my notes on the au I was so upset :'( my motivation to rewrite things took a dive and I lost the will to do the rest of my redesigns. It was slightly inspired by earthsong9405's goddess au and turnipberry influenced the way I draw pegasi/alicorns (they have gorgeous designs go check em out 👀)

Luna and celestia would reincarnate when they get old enough or die and celestia's hair became more sunsety as she aged. Might illustrate the same thing but with luna's getting lighter (new moon to full) if I ever pick up these redesigns again

These are like 3 years old or smth I don't have the original files for some of them so sorry if a few are kinda crunchy. Also didn't save the images of cadance/celestia/luna's wings way back when so those are gone rip

If anyone is interested what their roles were:

Celestia- Major deity. Goddess of the day. Associated with the sun and physical health.

Luna- Major deity. Goddess of the night. Associated with the moon and mental health.

Cadance- Minor deity. Goddess of familial love

Twilight- Major deity. Current goddess of knowledge. Previously a Keeper of knowledge and magic.

Rainbow dash- Minor deity. Goddess of competition. Associated with victory and weather. Previously a demigod and Keeper of war.

Idk if I'll revisit this outside of continuing to use my ocs for the au but I think the designs are kinda neat. Lowkey want to redesign twilight again though lol

Origin Smp Wing Designs

Tommy [Avian, 8 ft wingspan]: Avians have short, rounded, and broad wings similar in shape to chickens and other galliformes. Their wings are no longer large enough to be capable of true flight, however they can be used to “fall with style” by allowing the avians to safely float down from dangerous falls. Tommy, separated from the avian clan at birth, is unaware that his wings are fully grown and proudly claims that one day, they will be as big as Phil’s.

Phil [Elytrian, 25 ft wingspan]: Phil’s wings are massive, with long finger like primaries similar to condors. The shape and size of his wings allows him to surf gusts of wind for miles while barely flapping his wings once. Elytrian wings are meant for long distance soaring, and are ill suited for agility or long periods of high energy flapping. When at rest, Phil holds his wings diagonally at his sides due to their height. Short ceilings and door frames are his worst enemy.

Wilbur [Phantom, 15 ft wingspan]: Wilbur’s wings resemble those of bats and are composed of a translucent membrane speckled with bright luminescent dots resembling stars. The membrane is incredibly delicate and sensitive to sunlight. They are incredibly flexible and lend themselves well to agile flight, allowing Wilbur to navigate the twists and turns of caves and other tight spaces with ease. Wilbur is capable of making just his wings incorporeal so they can phase through indoor spaces like door frames without getting caught on things. (Phil is just a bit jealous!)

Tubbo [Bee, 8 ft wingspan]: Tubbo’s wings are composed of keratin similar to the shells of bugs. The paper like membrane between the veins is iridescent, creating a stunning stained glass effect when Tubbo flies in the sun. They beat rapidly, allowing for slow, but incredibly controlled flight in any direction. They consume a lot of energy very fast, forcing Tubbo to rely on highly caloric foods such as nectar to sustain flight. Tubbo keeps his wings tucked under his chest plate in high risk situations or areas to prevent them from being torn.

These are my wing designs for the SBI + Co! Basically I think in my head "what would they look like with wings" because I am an avian obsessed idiot (/pos) and then transfered it to digital :D
