Another witch is about to move into my home and I don't know if there's anything I should do on the witchy end of things to welcome her. Is there something obvious I'm overlooking or should just my intent be enough to make her feel welcome?

If you’ve got a bathtub, I’d just whip up some de-stress salts because moving can be...stressful.

Rock salt

Chamomile

Cloves

Peppermint leaves

Take a Muslin bag, or little sachet, toss all of that in there and write a little card like “I know moving can be stressful, so hopefully this bath soak will help cleanse some of that stress away. Just toss the bag in the bath and you don’t have to worry about cleanup!”

Otherwise, just think about what you would appreciate if you were moving to another witch’s home. Personally, I’m a bit skeptical/wary of doing magic gifted by a stranger where I can’t identify the ingredients, but I would appreciate an herb bundle, or some incense, Hell, a couple candles would make my day.

I think the best thing you could do is make it clear that it’s a safe space for them to live and to practice. A small acknowledgment and re-affirmation is all that’s needed.

I hope everything works out and hopefully living together y’all can bind and maybe even progress doing workings together! It can be fun having someone else to craft with like making witchballs, or even acknowledging a solstice or equinox and eating something seasonal with another witch.
