MORE PANTALAN CANON AND OC FOR THE AU

CANNON FIRST

ik i already posted monarch and sequoia BUT HERE THEY ARE AGAIN BC I FINALLY MADE THEIR CROWNS!! i plan on posting the crowns alone when i finish the pyrrhian ones too. tried to make them look like something or are made from a material that would be cherished. silkwings w/ vibrants colors and butterfly wings as well as pearls that reflect the 3 moons (i hc that silkwings somewhat lived near the shore and sometimes sea dived, using their wings to float to the surface guaranteed or make nets out of strong silk). hivewings' are black with a beetle in the middle and again the 3 moons out of gold. leafwings are made out of polished, extremely old tree bark (tried to use the colors of the longest living trees) w/ little pearls to resemble petals.

Cockroach the former king (arranged partner of cochineal). he is the embodiment of 'rich ppl screwing up others' lives for entertainment or morbid curiosity'. he DOES NOT care about the consequences of his actions and made Wasp worse for giggles. im dead serious. just for giggles. he hated her because initially she wasn't 'as good as him' so he ended up purposely driving her to be EVEN WORSE. i HATE this guy and everyone n the entire kingdom hated him. everyone is like that one pip to ramb about him but they're actually valid.

Dracaena the queen of leafwings before her daughter Sequoia. she passed down her leafspeak which only reappeared with her twin granddaughters, Birch and Juniper. i have this hc that almost every tribe, most notably silk, leaf and rain, have a tradition to keep a name for very promising queens. like silk has Monarch, so i decided the genus of the dragon tree is for leafwings. as such she lived up to her name. in this time the HiveWings had lost their tribe in the cave system after a mass collaspe and Cochineal wasn't only trying to find enough land to relocate in, but even more land to take. she also tried to keep her tribe as the 'top tribe'. Dracaena said nuh-uh and called Cochineal out everytime. Diadem can subtly agree all she wants Dracaena ain't budging. she also has anger issues but just wouldnt talk to u when she was mad at u until she calmed down.

Ash the former king of LeafWings and husband of Dracaena. he lived much longer than her dying 5 years after his grandson's hatching. he was very goated and everyone loved him. he was chill and liked to carve a lot. he hosted contests and kept up with the tribe's library and records. he didnt grow attached to permanence and told every to not worry about his passing but his grandson refused and said he will always be remembered.

idea: The burning of Bloodworm Hive still happens, but the firebombs were too effective. it caused the silk bridges to catch fire, for the other hives to catch on fire as well, and the entire savannah is up in a massive inferno.

The poisonwings at first were exuberant over the success of their plan, but as the fire spreads more and more, the flames, both the physical flames, and the flames of Wasps wrath, push towards the jungle. in a final act of defiance and desperation, the Rowan contingency is activated, Hawthorns work is destroyed, every last seed and cutting of the Breath of Evil is destroyed, forced to wither into dust.

The Leafwings had only one option, fly east in hopes of reaching the distant kingdoms, or die to the great fires and hivewing wrath. in these times of trial and tribulation, Queen Sequoia is forced to reunify both factions of the leafwings under one banner, if only for them to even reach somewhere across the ocean.

as the fires slowly subside, and the Hivewings and Silkwings begin to search through the rubble, the only hive left relatively unscathed was Cicada Hive, as prolonged seasonal storms from the southwest coast kept the worst of the great fire at bay. of the eight royal sisters, only two would survive the great fire. Wasp and Cicada. the Hivewing and Silkwing population was utterly wrecked, the flamesilks all fleeing to Clearsight knows where.

as the sun sets on the first day after the last of the great fire burned itself out, Wasp was at a loss as to what happens next. all but one of her sisters were dead. the Breath was gone. in twenty four hours, her kingdom which had stood for centuries, was reduced to one eighth of its size, and one tenth of its population. Wasp took comfort in the seasonal rains as they began to fall, providing her some thin shroud of dignity as, for the first time in decades, she wept. In the end, the Leafwing revenge had been complete and total. the two living sisters had no heirs between them. Wasps mind control powers would fade as she could no longer get the breath of evil, she wouldn't be able to reliably inoculate the unhatched Hivewings with her poison. the hive kingdom was effectively dead. once both Wasp and Cicada were gone, the royal bloodline that had lasted from Clearsight to now would be nothing more than a note in the history books.

I really like your art style and I think maybe Ex-Queen Scarlet or Hawthorn would look cool! :)

I drew Scarlet a while ago but Hawthorn was fun to do! Here he is with his dragonbite viper. Headcanon time: he’s one quarter SilkWing (his grandfather was a SilkWing,) and he absolutely hates this part of himself. It’s also the reason for his red scales. Initially, he became friends with Sequoia to prove to himself that he’s a real LeafWing and not just some ‘spineless SilkWing’, as he initially thought. Unfortunately though, he became obsessed with Sequoia, leading him to make his last mistake: he listened to the strange vine in the woods. He swallowed the plant, and immediately, Hawthorn was dead. Only the worst aspects of himself were left. Sequoia realised her friend was gone and banished him, but not before discovering he poisoned Wasp. She was furious, but she couldn’t do anything; Hawthorn was already in hiding in the darkest corner of the jungle. He lived with the vines, attempting more and more horrifying experiments on the creatures around him.
