Most exercise programs talk about core strength. These exercises are meant to strengthen those muscles that keep your insides, inside. Between our hips and ribs, the only thing keeping us upright is our spine and muscles. Core strength works those muscles, keeping us upright and strong. This video shows a few workouts. For some they will be easy. For others, not so much. Notice a few moves in the video I show. Please keep shoulders at ease. Try and keep a big arch out of your back by keeping your front ribs relaxed. Watch my shoulder elevation and arching back. Ouch!! We are working the muscles in front of your organs, not your ribs!! For me, core strength is not only physical. When my body is strong because I feed it healthy food and work my core, it makes my mind strong too, giving me confidence. As my body gains strength, I feel easier participating in life with healthy boundaries and a healthy attitude. Work your core.
