I didn’t just wake up one day with a polished voice and layered storytelling instincts—I put in the work. Workshops, rewrites, late-night edits, and the kind of feedback that makes you rethink everything (in the best way). Growth takes intention.
If you’re serious about developing your craft, I highly recommend checking out the Boot Camp Mentors community on Wattpad. They’re currently running a mini workshop focused on opening paragraphs—those crucial first lines that make or break a reader’s attention. It’s happening now through Sept 19th in their Discord server (link in their bio).
Whether you’re just starting out or refining your tenth draft, this is a space where feedback meets encouragement. I’ll be there, and I hope to see some of you join in. Let’s keep building stories that matter. 🖊️🔥

It’s not after me with swords and daggers
asking me to pen down words.
It walks up to me naturally,
sits in silence through all my phases like a constant companion.
It walks ahead at times only to lead the way,
spreading soft petals on my path.
Creating a pathway of words in the unknown.
I do not know the direction or destination
but I trust the words for they grow out of my emotions
and I trust everything they bring or drop on my path.
Some days they bring flowers,
someday they bring stones, so I stumble.
But some days, writing brings cotton flowers
to wipe off those very wounds.
Writing loves me back,
and it’s not a struggle to get these words out,
instead with every word that escapes my soul,
a part of me feels lighter.
have you ever written anything SO honest & SO personal in your story that you LITERALLY HAD TO TAKE A NAP AFTERWARDS to replenish the emotional energy you expended in producing that scene, or is that just me???
