Meet: @revamping_rita I started my weight loss journey at over 366 pounds. I was SHOCKED when I stepped on the scale. I initially started because I was newly married, and I knew I wanted to have a family in the near future. I knew it would be hard, but I was determined to reach my goals. I started out by counting calories, and working out for 30 minutes 5x a week. Along the way, life happened. I got really sick about 6 months into my journey; had to have emergency surgery, and came out of it with an emergency colostomy bag. 6 months after that, I had surgery AGAIN (colostomy reversal surgery), and had to recover one more time. A total of 3 surgeries, and 2 recoveries... and in between I still worked toward my goals! Don’t let the things in life stop you from bettering yourself. We are so much stronger than we think!! I hope that by sharing my journey, I help even just 1 person try again. Natural weight loss IS possible. Body positivity to me is accepting yourself at every step along the way.
