Reshi means hot food or trouble in Mandarin Chinese. XD I found this funny as Kote (Kvothe) cooks hot food for his inn’s customers and his university teachers consider his rash behaviour to be trouble (especially Master Loren, when Kvothe walks into a library with an open flame).

Bast calls his mentor and friend, the protagonist Kvothe, by the word Reshi in Patrick Rothfuss’ amazing fantasy series The Kingkiller Chronicles. Book one is The Name of the Wind and book 2 is The Wise Man’s Fear. Book 3, Doors of Stone, isn’t out yet.
