@tangerinebonfire
Can I be honest with yall I don't want to hear SHIT against cishets at pride this year
"But it's not FOR them!!!" The biggest military power in the world belongs to a christofascist nation overseen by a felon found guilty of 34 federal crimes and has greenlit a gestapo with more direct funding than the entire military of Canada for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. Let Hetero Jessica throw some biodegradable glitter at a municipal parade
At this point if anyone is trying to exclude anyone benignly pro-queer from a pro-queer space I'm just going to assume you're a fed or something idk like something something destabilize the movement from within or whatever

why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
It’ll be almost impossible to find this post unless it wanders across your dash.
It wandered across mine. I shall help it travel forward.
this is not a place of honor
Oh hey post of Ozymandius, good to see you again standing on your feet in a desert where no one remembers you
Happy Pride!
Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
I love that four different people on my feed scheduled this joyous person to reblog by 8am on June 1. I look forward to seeing this a dozen more times today.
Here is the tiktok this is referencing, everyone in the comments please take a breath
STAR TREK ▪ The Naked Time | S01 E04 ▪ Mudd's Women | S01 E06
Spock, later: Of course, I have carried out thorough investigations into this matter. I have compared our X-rays with one another, as well as realistic drawings of our unclothed bodies from the front, back and side. It gives me immense satisfaction to see these differences, Doctor.
Job hunting in a hostile environment. ✨
yeah.
There are multiple chapters that are set in hospitals where the characters are attempting to recover from injuries that never fully heal. I must once again stress that my experience in WWI was perfectly normal.
There is a giant horrible mudplain full of unrecoverable and perfectly preserved dead bodies that the characters have to walk through in a land where the air is poisoned gas, and on a compLETELY UNRELATED NOTE: WWI WAS TOTALLY FINE AND NORMAL!!
Also it turns out all the heroism on the battlefield is ultimately futile – at best it's a delaying action sending their bravest out to be slaughtered and hoping they buy enough time for the little guys to push the no-more-war button
but this has nothing to do with an Anglo-Saxon scholar steeped in sagas of heroes and warriors finding out what the normal experience of war is like whatever gave you that idea
How the cover of "Renegades" was created. I asked the HarperCollins team if I could make this video since there was so much excitement online about the art, and they kindly said yes! As a Warriors kid, this was my honor!
when i was 10 same sex marriage was legalised in england and wales. that summer i went to so many weddings. there were weeks i went to a wedding every single day, some days we had to choose which wedding to go to. i loved it cuz i got to dress up and hang out w a bunch of happy ppl and eat food and dance. when i see that quote abt how gay ppl during the aids crisis had to choose between funerals it reminds me of that summer. of how far weve come and how far we still have to go. hiv is now controllable with a pill once a day. only 6 ppl have ever been cured of aids. the uk wasnt hit nearly as hard by hiv/aids as other countries like it, partly cuz of a massive public information campaign. 20,000 ppl still died. i went to so many 10 year anniversary parties last year.
THE VERY FIRST STAR TREK SLASH FIC PUBLISHED
“A Fragment out of Time”, published in 1974. Kirk / Spock. page 1 page 2
I had to share it with you because I can’t stop laughing, and every time I reread it it just gets funnier and fUNNIER
This fan fiction is older than the push-through tabs on soda cans.
Your grandma wrote this on her Commodore 64.
I miss my Commodore 64
Oh my dear, sweet children. The Commodore 64 came out in 1982. This was produced on a typewriter and probably mimeographed. And while it may seem funny now, it took more courage to write and distribute this than you will ever know.
Reblogged for that last comment.
respect your elders
Children, in the olden days fanfiction was written on a typewriter, copied and sent by snail mail. Getting one one of those letters from across the world was every bit as exciting as getting a notification that your favorite writer posted a new fic.
It’s been said before, but the fact that this fic begins with the dialogue assertion “We’re by no means setting a precedent” is endlessly amusing to me.
Diane Marchant changed all our lives. May she rest in peace.
The precedent line is especially amusing when you bear in mind that “A Fragment Out of Time” is not only the first Star Trek slashfic to be published in a widely distributed magazine: it’s believed by some to be the first slashfic of any kind to be widely published.
In 1974 it was illegal to send pornography through the USPS. So distributing fic like this via mailed newsletter was literally dangerous. And they knew it.

so no one but me is going to acknowledge the extremely shapely bare leg on that old man?
