This is going to be a very all hands on deck week
⭐Right off the bat, tomorrow Dec 2 ,2205 the House subcommittee on Commerce, Manufactoring, and Trade is holding a hearing to most likely pass the 19-bill package on KOSA & other age verification bills. It will most likely either go to the full house vote after and/OR an attempt to add it to the NDAA. It is VERY IMPERATIVE that we make as much noise as possible ASAP about this and make as many calls to the members of this committee as possible.
We would really appreciate if someone could compile a list of important people here. But in all honesty just call as many people as possible today. Bonus if you can call them all. It won't even take an hour. Use our updated call script here, Feel free to a shorten the message

Republican version
“I am urging you to vote NO on the 19-bill online safety package in the House Energy and Commerce committee. Barely anything in this bill protects kids. Most of these bills are age verification bills, which Republicans and the president opposed in Britain for the fact it mass-censored conservative speech online.
and KoSA or (Kids Online Safety Act, as it’s deceptively called) is included that would be weaponized by unelected bureaucrats to censor Americans and you must wonder why Blumenthal is pushing it so hard. The bill let any state attorney general and the FTC to sue any website for “harmful” content. Including Blue States. Big Tech and credit card companies are already censoring us. That’s why they support KOSA. This is massive government overreach, Do NOT support this package. Thank you.”
Democrat version
“I am urging you to vote NO on the 19-bill online safety package in the House Energy and Commerce committee. Barely anything in this bill protects kids. Most of these bills are age verification bills, which hundreds of human rights groups including the ACLU oppose.
They require verification data be collected from children, which puts their personal data all in one place easily for hackers. A similar system has already caused problems in Britain, putting children at risks.
And the Kosa bill or (Kids Online Safety Act,) allows state attorneys to censor the internet. Do we really want Republican state lawyers deciding what can and can’t be allowed online? w need a bill that actually protects children by creating better security measures instead of more censorship and surveillance.
What parent would want their child’s private data in the hands of strangers like this? Do NOT support this package. Thank you.”
🚨KOSA & other Age Verification bills being voted on this Thursday
House Energy and Commerce Committee will introduce a legislative package called the "Kids Internet and Digital Safety Act" that combines a dozen bills about age verification this Thursday.
The new package will include the latest version of the KOSA - the Kids Online Safety Act - as well as other measures.
During the markup, the panel will also consider standalone bills on an array of topics including smartphone age verification.
Nonetheless, they expect a largely partisan markup.
Phones. The markup will also include the App Store Accountability Act as one of the standalone measures. The proposed legislation would require users to verify their ages to create accounts on smartphones, potentially through a credit card or a government ID.
Democrats have said they believe the bill is unconstitutional, citing a federal district court’s decision to pause a similar law in Texas last year. That’s being appealed. A rival, bipartisan bill would give parents more tools to manage their kids’ smartphone usage.

We cannot allow age verification to become a national policy in this country when ICE is kidnapping people and Palantir is planning on targeting more and more people with the current govt. We simply cannot.
Through out the month of February, Congress is trying to censor, surveil, and make the internet completely useless. Right now Congress will start promoting the gutting of Section 230, a law that prevents websites from getting sued by anyone for the actions posts of their users.
With the Gutting of Section 230, it will cause websites to censor EVERYTHING. That includes twitter posts, fan fictions, web forums, Wikipedia pages, Art, and anything the current GOP does not like will all be censored or removed for fear of being sued.
And with age verification coming in second, websites can not only take down your post but will document it with your face, age, home address, credit card information etc; So if the current GOP asks the states for files of people who've post certain stuff (Rather it's helping people seek healthcare or just reading fan fiction) they could potentially arrest you via ICE or police for "breaking the law."
We all know why this is happening and it is not to protect children. It is to censor and surveil. With ICE destroying communities, the Epstein files being released and people finally waking up to the bullshit lie the rich brainwashed us to believe in; They're quickly scrambling to make it stop. to make sure there is no uprising, there is no community. And that starts with the repeal of Section 230 and age verification.
THIS WILL AFFECT EVERYONE GLOBALLY.
THIS WILL AFFECT YOU.
ITS TIME TO START KEEPING UP WITH THESE AGE VERIFICATION BILLS AND THE SUNSET 230 BILL. STAY INFORMED, SPREAD THE WORD AND CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES. CALL THEM, FAX THEM, AND EMAIL THEM, SEND PHYSICAL LETTERS, ANYTHING TO YELL AT THEM AND TELL THEM THAT WE DO NOT WANT/NEED THIS. SAVE SECTION 230 AND SAY NO TO ALL AGE VERIFICATION BILLS.
Bills to monitor:
Sunset Section 230
Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA)
Screen Act
App Accountability Act (You'll have to google your state and see where that stands)
MONITOR THESE BILLS, CALL YOUR REPS, CONTACT THE LOCAL PAPER, JOURNALIST POPULAR BLOGS, INFLUENCES ETC. THE STATE OF THE INTERNET IS AT RISK AND WE NEED EVERYONE TO PULL THEIR WEIGHT!!
The internet censorship and serveillance bill KOSA (the Kids Online Safety Act) is back and rearing its ugly head and has been reintroduced. But this time Senator Richard blumenthal and Known Transphobe Senator Marsha Blackburn are determined to get it through by including it a House Energy and Commerce Commitee “child safety” package that is set to be voted on after the shutdown is over. We CANNOT let this happen. This weekend I need to see and hear everyone call House leadership and bug the hell out of them to not support KOSA. Call them. Email them. FAX them as well. Waste their ink. We beat kosa before and we can do it again. It hasn’t moved in the house or senate, but we need to do everything we can to make sure it stays that way. Remember the UK’s “Online Safety Act” is a KOSA copycat bill. They got their bs from us. So if you don’t want us to end up like that and be forced to verify your age to access stuff on the internet (aka that new bs policy on YouTube) and give the government or anybody who can hack the power to watch and track everything you say and do on the internet, fight this!
The second the govt shutdown is over, they are going to move on this bill. We need to jump ahead of the curve. FFTF recently sent out an email saying they are expecting a House vote soon.
We need to mass call, email, and fax House Leadership to tell them that we don’t want this! We beat KOSA before and we can do it again!

Hello, I am urging you to call the House GOP leadership. They are trying to pass the kids online safety act (KOSA) along with other bills that are currently in the House Energy & Commerce Committee. Once the government shutdown is over they will move onto it.
a quick run down as to why this bill mustn't pass:
This bill will essentially censor the entire Internet under the guise that it's a bill to protect children when in reality it will put them in more danger. This administration could and will use this bill to not only censor freedom of speech on the internet, but LGBTQ+ rights, talk about practices that aren't Christian, POC voices, women's voices, and much more.

In order for this plan to truly work and potentially succeed, WE NEED A TON OF PEOPLE TO BE ON BOARD WITH THIS. NOT JUST A FEW, NOT JUST A GROUP, BUT A TON IF NOT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE READY AND WILLING.
THIS PLAN SOLELY RELIES ON POWER IN NUMBERS, AND WITHOUT THAT, THIS WILL NOT WORK.
If you want to do something against the Take It Down Act and know people that also want to do something, SPREAD THIS MESSAGE AND TELL ORGS (ACLU, Fight For The Future, etc). Last Year's "Non-Profit Killer" bill, HR 9495, is now being brought back not as an individual bill, but as an amendment that House Republicans are trying to shove into their budget reconciliation bill. "As your constituent, I urge you to reject the inclusion of Section 112209 in the House Ways and Means Committee's budget reconciliation package — a dangerous provision known as the “Nonprofit Killer Bill.”
This proposed law would grant the incoming administration’s Secretary of the Treasury unchecked power to revoke the tax-exempt status of religious, charitable, and advocacy organizations based on vague allegations and even classified evidence that groups cannot challenge. It would undermine the First Amendment, violate due process, and open the door to politically motivated targeting of nonprofits — including those that speak out against U.S. foreign policy or advocate for Palestinian human rights.
This legislation follows other recent attacks on free speech, such as the Antisemitism Awareness Act and the Anti-Boycott IGO Act, which would suppress student activism and Americans’ right to boycott human rights abuses. Congress must stop this growing wave of unconstitutional overreach.
I urge you to:
1) Support any amendment to strike Section 112209;
2) Vote NO on any reconciliation package that includes this provision.
Publicly oppose efforts to silence protected advocacy and dissent. Please stand up for the First Amendment and nonprofit independence!"

We all knew it was coming, and now it's finally here. As of 5/8/2025, Senator Mike Lee of Utah and Congresswoman Mary E Miller of Illinois have introduced to both the Senate and House what they are calling the "Interstate Obscenity Definition Act". To put it shortly, it's legislation intended to ban all forms of visual pornography and other NSFW content from the internet by amending the Communications Act of 1934.
This legislation has been introduced twice before, and both times it didn't progress very far. But with Age Verification bills and a war on NSFW content on the rise, this is not one to leave alone and hope it doesn't progress like the last times it was introduced.
The text of the prior bills as to how they intend to do this are to modify the Communications Act to disallow all forms of "obscenity" by defining it as follows:
"(38) OBSCENE; OBSCENITY.—
“(A) IN GENERAL.—The term ‘obscene’ or ‘obscenity’, when used in a manner or context that explicitly refers to, or could apply to, a picture, image, graphic image file, film, videotape, or other visual depiction, includes a picture, image, graphic image file, film, videotape, or other visual depiction that—
“(i) taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest in nudity, sex, or excretion;
“(ii) depicts, describes, or represents, an actual or simulated sexual act or sexual contact, actual or simulated normal or perverted sexual acts, or lewd exhibition of the genitals, with the objective intent to arouse, titillate, or gratify the sexual desires of a person; and
“(iii) taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value."
This is a massive overreach and an attack on First Amendment rights of free speech and exchange of information on a scale that cannot be allowed in this current political climate. So I recommend that we get ahead of this while it's still in its infancy and let your representatives know without a shadow of a doubt that we will not stand for this.

Following here is a brief call or email script you can use to contact your representative and speak out against this egregious attack on your First Amendment Rights.
"This Bill [insert House/Senate bill number here] is a grave attack on our rights as American citizens to access content and speech which is guaranteed to us under the First Amendment. Whatever your opinion on prurient content or pornography is, it is a vast overreach of the government to try and take away our rights as American adults to access lawful content. A blanket ban will do nothing to solve the issues related to it, and trying to ban it outright will only drive the industry further underground and give more power to those who would try to continue the industry illegally.
The better option is regulation so that this content can remain lawful and observed to ensure that it only reaches those who are allowed to access it and ensure that those who produce it are both safe and fairly compensated. Rather than criminalizing those who produce and share it when the exchange is between legal and consenting adults.
I encourage you to vote NO on [insert House/Senate bill number here]."
I have been informed that the House is going to have a committee hearing (energy and commerce committee) on the Take It Down Act. This is a bill that Trump has pushed hard to get passed so that he can abuse it and use it to take down social media posts criticizing him. Its another mass censorship tool disguised as "protecting kids".
